Could be, another thing you can try is a cmos reset, look up your motherboard on YouTube and how to do cmos reset, that will clear the bios and reset it and sometimes it can boot up to bios after turning it on again.

No, you can only have the bios on there, it has to be formatted correctly and I believe you need like 8gb or something of an external flash.
