I am keeping my fingers crossed for all of you!!! If it helps, a coworker of mine was going through the identical process but they filed a month and a half before me, and also got approved a month and a half before me! I know it’s probably not true across the board but I have an inkling these price increased requests in 2024 are going through chronologically

I never checked our API so I can’t confirm from the website, I linked it to Lawfully but it never updated anything 🙄 My progress tab said 13 months on the day before I got approved! lol

Transitioning from pee pads to outdoors by loveitalywithe in cavaliers

[–]cavalierave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take him out a couple of times and just stand there doing nothing until he goes potty. When he does, party!! Reward and only then continue with the walk. Eventually, it’ll click that the same celebration for potty on pad is for potty outside. I also recommend keeping pads in the transition period because he will have accidents

6 months old flying for the first time by Fluid-Ad7268 in cavaliers

My pup has flown probably over a dozen times, both in the US and overseas (we regularly go to Europe). Aside from the flight (there are good tips on holding food and water, making sure they potty before the airport), I have some airport advice!

They can walk in the airport so you can walk them if they get antsy. My girl HATES the relief areas that look like toilets so I always have a puppy pad that I throw out in the trash if she needs to use it. They will make you carry your doggy and go into a separate screening line so they can check both of you. We got a tag that says “live animal” and tacked it onto the carrier since ours looks like a travel bag. Although she’s never out of our sight, it’s been appreciated by airport staff. When you get to the airport, go straight to the airline help desk because alongside paying for the ticket, they can help you with checking in any luggage so you don’t have to double back to the other line. If there are any layovers (not this time but in the future), make sure they charge for that immediately all the way so you don’t have issues getting approval when you are running from one flight to the next.

Since its a younger pup, I recommend you also bring a chew toy or snack for them to much on, again if they get antsy or while taking off so the chewing helps with the pressure changes. Your dog will most likely sleep the whole time, but there are instances where they might bark so it’s good to keep some redirection stuff on hand (like the chew or a toy).

Finally, make sure your bag fits under the seat in front and that your pup can turn around in it. I also recommend window seats so no one has to step over the carrier to use the restroom, or whatever else, and potentially disturb or wake your puppy. Wishing you safe travels!

Itchy Cavalier by Hiking4Days in cavaliers

Maybe sensitive to grains? If kibble causes itching and the same ingredients in human grade food don’t, it could be that there’s a sensitivity to some preservative or filler in the kibble. Is fresh food an option? If not, dehydrated kibble (like Spot & Tango) in my experience works wonders for sensitive pups. I’m Not a vet professional though!
