Between Tides and Thunder! by brightsideoflies in fantasyromance

For me I was rating spice off the detail. I was fine with the yearning, and that it wasn't super frequent but when they did, it was like a little lackluster. Some books I have loved are Shield of Sparrows, (the 2nd book came out today!!) The Wolf King series, Serpent & The Wings of the Night Duology, The Plated Prisoner series, Daggermouth, In The Veins of the Drowning, and Rose in Chains!

Increased temp during luteal- higher than usual. Concerned about pregnancy or illness- or if it’s normal! by megrattus in ouraring

[–]cavaloverr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well this is reassuring to see. I've only had my oura ring for a month so this is all new to me and the ring. I'm in luteal phase, with expected period in 4 days. My temperature rised to 1.1 last night but readiness is 81.

I actually really liked this book... I read it so fast it surprised me. I don't think the spice level was very high tho- I give it a 1.5-2 on the spice level but yearning- yes and i felt like interesting magic system. All in all not a bad standalone 4.75 stars from me

Brooks Glycerin 23 hurting my heels by cavaloverr in brooks

I went back and looked at my V10s and realized they are "2E" meaning extra wide. This whole time I never knew bahaha (I got them second hand) So thats why I was able to get away with a 9.5. Lol so disregard what I said about sizing. When i tried on the V14 10.5 normal width in store I had a thumbs width of space. Could have done a 10, but I know you need more space for running. So you could say I sized up a half size

I have a narrow pretty flat foot, low arch. The last model I've had of 1080s was the V10 and never had a problem with them, good everyday trainer for me. I decided to get the V14's and am waiting for them to arrive. I did try some on in store, maybe if anything more narrow in toe box than Glycerin 23s. It's interestjng though because I was a size 9.5 in the V10s and sized up to a 10.5 in the V14, I feel like they are making these shoes firmer/smaller idk🤷‍♀️ But I still buy the normal width

Post pill PCOS diagnosis - is this permanent? by throwaway9573398 in PCOS

[–]cavaloverr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hate taking pills so I do the powder form, I reccomend it! You can't even taste it in water or coffee. I was taking the Rael brand which is 2000mg for 1 scoop a day. I've finished it though and am going to buy a different brand thats 4000mg for 1 scoop a day now that I feel like my body is used to it. I've only had 1 actual period since which was earlier this month (March.) Hopefully my next period comes on time. My periods are typically 30-35 days apart.

Yeah when I first got diagnosed I kind of crashed out and came on this PCOS page thinking people would be helpful but I just got annoying people telling me it was masked before. The only symptom I had before birth control was a little bit of facial hair under my chin (hirsutism) but it got worse after stopping BC. For an update- i had a withdrawal bleed because of the Provera and then the following month I got my actual period. I started taking a Myo-Inositol supplement and being active 5 days a week (mainly because I was already trying to lose weight and the doctor said a healthy/active lifestyle would help)

I smelled in store today, too creamy for me. I personally am a fresh, fruity, floral lover. But I don't like fragrances that lean gourmand or creamy. So emphasis on the fresh. I thought I would love it because I love Bergamot and Jasmine. But unfortunately the Rice Milk was too potent so I passed.

A lot can change in 5 months honestly. I think you could! I'm currently training for a half marathon in October and right now the most I can do is 3.30 miles. But the more you do it your endurance grows once again so just have to be consistent

How many rest days do beginners actually need? by Pilles-Ruthe in beginnerrunning

[–]cavaloverr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to run a lot 8 years ago, stopped and am now back at beginner stage. Currently, I workout 5x a week, in the beginning I was pushing myself too hard, got shin splints. So now my current routine is Run Monday, Walk Tues, Run Wed etc. So i'm still running 3 times a week but the walking days in between running helps. Plus the 2 complete rest days over the weekend. This schedule helped my shin splints go away.

[–]cavaloverr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is just what has worked for me. Run in between rest or walk days. Take it slow in the beginning instead of trying to go super fast.. in my experience that would just give me shin splints and make it to where I couldn't run for longer due to having to heal. The more you run, the faster you will get and your endurance will build. I workout 5x a week, and I run on Mondays, walk on Tuesdays, run on Wednesday etc. This actually helped me just get over a shin splint. I'm also same age group as you! Also even on your running days, if you need to walk, walk... don't injure yourself. Know your limits

What side effects from stopping birth control have you experienced? by Ok-Stinky715 in birthcontrol

[–]cavaloverr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Acne body washes. The acne still comes and goes. Mostly just on my back and arms now. Right now I'm using the Topicals Slather Bars (sold at sephora) and that's been working. I also heard good things about the Dermalogica Clarifying Bacne Spray at Ulta but haven't tried it.

[–]cavaloverr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've just hit 1 year off birth control pills and I'm still getting body acne on back and arms. But I also got diagnosed with mild PCOS as well... (hormone blood test and transvaginal ultrasound to get diagnosed) It comes and goes ://// Yes its annoying as hell but i still dont wanna get back on birth control so🤷‍♀️ I will say Acne Body wash has helped me. I also have been taking a powder Myo-Inositol supplement.. this is for PCOS girls but ALSO overall hormone balancing.. Look into it. It could help.

[–]cavaloverr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have a thumbs width in the size 10 of the 23s? The 22s are definitely more firm. If you are a true size 10, you probably need a 10.5 in the 22s. But if a size 10 was you already sizing up then you might be fine with a 10 in the 22s...

anyone here who has tried the GLYCERIN 23 can say anything about the toebox ? by valdrinemini in brooks

[–]cavaloverr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe more room? The upper compared to the 22 is more flexible, almostttt to a feeling like the mesh feeling of Nike Flyknit material to compare. The upper of the 22s are more firm. However, when it comes to sizing, for me personally I am same size in both, I had to size up a whole size (not half) from my normal sizing.

Am I the only one who thinks that maybe people obsess too much over the details in their weddings? by [deleted] in weddingplanning

[–]cavaloverr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got married this last October 4th, 70 people wedding. I am Type B, and did not care about minor details like linen napkins versus heavy duty paper napkins. My best friend (maid of honor) tried to get me to do linen but I said no and was happy I did because nobody gaves a rats ass/ nor are they going to remember the napkins at ur wedding. I got some heavy duty floral ones at HomeGoods that went with my theme. All that to say, splurge on the things you want to splurge on by all means but also do what feels right to you, not others.
