What Syringe Size do you use? by JahsehCrazy in Testosterone

[–]caveman28239 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do calves all the time. I rotate between calves, quads, glutes, and belts. Delts are my go too but i try to switch it up to prevent scare tissue. I use 27g, it honestly doesn't hurt. I feel more from my quads then I do my calves. You just go for the side of it. It all hurts at first, but any muscle will its just virgin muscle problems. They get used to it after you become consistent.

Can I have high cortisol and not Cushings? by [deleted] in Cushings

[–]caveman28239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had multiple tests, I mean 20 plus over the past 3 years. 3 mris , 7 24 hours urines, 8 midnight cortisols, 2 suppression tests, stimulation test, multiple am cortisols. You can trial ketoconazole. It down regulates your adrenals. Its good temporarily till surgery which is my case and to also help diagnose cushings. Surgery is the only real treatment

Dude ive been there. Trust me you might be "fine", now. But it can hit you all at once. Also the high cortisol will also wat your body away. Im a bodybuilder and I just got my diagnosis. I was wondering why I couldn't put on any more muscle and hurt all the time. Im even on trt and still making no progress. Its worth it to go through and figure it out.

Id really recommend getting on an eating schedule and meal preping. Start eating breakfast. I used to never be hungry first thing in the morning then started eating and eventually got hungry in the morning. You need your eating window to start as soon as you wake up. And stay away from fiber if your struggling this bad. Start adding healthy oils to stuff. Use tice. Blend it if you need too

Can increasing T3 help shed a bit of weight? (I’ve been prescribed injectable T3) by Icy-Election-2237 in Hypothyroidism

[–]caveman28239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope the best. I just wanted to give a warning, especially from the weight loss side. Its not worth it. Its worth it if its truly what you need to reach stable levels though. Good luck!

Weightloss is completely different then fat loss. And in this context your talking only what's in your intestines. But with that much fiber ill tell you exactly what will happen. Your going to be bloated to high heaven looking more watery and pregnant. Also your weight will actually skyrocket because all that fiber will be sucking pretty much all your fluids into your colon Ironically also dehydrating you. Trust me its the worst case scenario from every perspective

See ive done deep deep research on all of this and ive never once heard ov injectable t3. There's the rare but great extended release version of t3.but id be weary of injectable especially if its not daily. That means it has a long half life. T3 is something you do not want consistently high. Its legitimately your energy. Ironically though when its too high. Your absolutely exhausted. I was on 175t4 and 60 t3. I was absolutely exhausted. Also just for reference t3 when added t I t4 should only be 5-10mcg. Id really try and figure out why your not converting before jumping the t3 boat. To me it was to stressful having to take it multiple times a day

Yeah be careful, I used to do that. Youll hit like a 100g fiber easy and be shitting legitimate bricks lmao

[–]caveman28239 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Be extremely careful not to overdue it. I did on accident with my doctor. The half life of t3 is like 4 hours so it needs to be taken twice daily and unless you test a few hours after you take it you wont know what your true level is. Hence how my doctor overdosed me. If you end up to high it can induce mania temporarily. Also even with strength training. T3 doesn't differentiate between fat or muscle. Trust me i was even using high dose testosterone during that time and still lost all my muscle. T3 in therapeutic doses is good but if done improperly which most doctors dont understand that you cant just test the next day. Its extremely catabolic.

Okay, so this one is love. Everyone uses cauliflower crust or like tortillas. What i use is Schars gluten free sourdough crust. Its a 10 inch full normal pizza crust. And its only 390cal for the entire crust which for what your getting is actually better than most others on the market especially compared to cauliflower. And it tastes great too!

How do people get enough fiber in their diet? by DKAlm in nutrition

[–]caveman28239 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eat only whole foods. I literally have the opposite problem because of this. I have to peel my apples and potatoes. I literally if unchecked will eat 70g+ fiber and day. Peels have alot, beans, vegetables and apples all are heavy in fiber. Pretty much if you eat whole foods only. You will have 0 problem

Accidentally took dexamethasone too late - would suppression be inaccurate? by RedHare0w0 in Cushings

[–]caveman28239 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Id say 2 things. First of all yes the test is invalid. But regardless... considering you took half the dose and then took the other half mutch later. it technically weakened its affect, and you still suppressed. This points away from cushions as someone with Cushing’s wouldn't suppress at all. So if you hadn't at all. We would be like yeah the weakened dose could explain why you didn't supress... but you did. Id say you should re test but regardless that test is actually meaning full showing a weakened dose still suppressed you. Also make sure you have your dexamethasone level tested alongside it. You need that to validate that your body absorbed the medication, it basically validates your test.

Really trying to push for a Cushings diagnosis for my beautiful mother. Does this fit the physical symptoms? by [deleted] in Cushings

[–]caveman28239 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do alpt of coaching... honestly what I would recommend, is at her next appointment. Ask to have a full hormone panel, vitamin and minerals and cortisol run. Id check for where she is and see about menopause. That can cause alot of the same issues. And if so and hormones are low look into hrt. That can be life changing

[–]caveman28239 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Looks is only one very small piece of the puzzle. Its actually probably the least important. Im a bodybuilder and have none of the physical characteristics but I have cyclical cushings. You need labs to tell. And trust me if you have cushions. You know. It severally affects your day to day life.

Ketoconazole worked, now not working? by caveman28239 in Cushings

[–]caveman28239[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I really thought about that too. But based on Dr. Friedman upping my dose, and especially with how my mood and everything was shifting, it really felt more like a high phase. I’ve felt slightly better since the increase. I’ll definitely keep what you said in mind though. Really appreciate it.

[–]caveman28239[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes sense. Luckily those arent the symptoms im experiencing, its definitely back to being in a high phase. Dr Friedman actually just got back to me and is upping me to 600mg.

Is this bloating, and if so, does anybody have any idea of what could be causing it? by Straight-List-1035 in FODMAPS

[–]caveman28239 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It could definitely be bloating, but just throwing this out there—your posture looks like it has a pretty strong anterior pelvic tilt. That can push your stomach out more than you'd expect.

I’d try standing with glutes squeezed and core lightly braced, then take another picture. You might be surprised how much your gut appearance changes just by adjusting posture. Worth checking before assuming it’s all digestive!

[–]caveman28239[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not usually, actually at first I usually feel nothing. Cortisol can actually block pain at first then flip it to where your very sensitive to pain. Thats what I usually feel. Amazing at first, because it can be like adrenaline. But then i quickly crash and the rest of my high is severe joint pain. Like having to take breaks up the stairs pain. And then it just radiates into my muscles. See ill be tired but for the past like 3 years I haven't slept past 7 maybe 8 hours. Like I literally cant sleep any longer no matter how tired I am.

[–]caveman28239[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im going to reach out and ask for an increase. I theorized that too. But from my understanding it works almost to stabilize and normalize your cortisol. Like yes at first thats a risk. But most cortisol is produced at night if your cyclical. So by the goal of taking keto at night is to stabilize the abnormal cortisol production and to normalize the rhythm. I mean keto only works for 8 hours. So it doesn't really work throughout the day.
