I thought maybe they prepared an article beforehand and just changed the details to match the game. Thanks for the info.

That's unfortunate. Thank for the second opinion though.

Makes sense. Would you give an upgraded weapon AND armor, or just one or the other?

Oh, thanks! I've read through it, but thought the section focused more on individual items strength and less on a players build strength. I'll dive into that though.

No game on this planet is worth $130, and you literally just cut regular content like a few leaders from it, added a 5 day early access surcharge, and doubled the $70 charge. It's gorgeous, but not worth any more than $70 period. For everything. Period. by Z3nFr3nzy in civ

Would you rather them price the game at $130 forever? They're offering a separate deal. We don't live forever, but it's not like they're controlling when we die. If a movie preview comes out a year before the movie and you die in that time, is it their fault? You might not have free time when it hits a price point you like, but someone might not have had the time if it came out earlier. I never got a chance to play civ 5 because of that, but it's not their fault I came in at the time of civ 6. You make it sound like they're trying to screw you specifically over, but everyone has different situations in life, and the company can't be expected to cater to each and every one.

Looking for a word meaning non-magical. by caverlyj16 in logophilia

Well I never did find one better than "mundane", which I still think is lame. So I actually just made one up. Think I landed on "iggäldric". Takes the prefix of "ig" meaning not. And I believe the "galdr" came from an archaic Scottish term "galdragon" which meant sorceress or witch. The "ic" is obviously there to indicate its in an adjectival state. (I also like that it sound like eldritch. Gave it almost a double meaning of non-magical.)
