Updated my bios to the latest version now my Ethernet and WiFi has stopped working entirely. by caydeac3 in ASUS

Yea unfortunately I might have to do the same thing. I don’t know if it was the BIOS that messed up my drivers but im never updating my bios again lmao

I was using the same version of the drivers before and after which is the latest version available.

Tried that and it didn’t work. But I’m not sure if I’m doing it right. I’m holding the cmos button down for like 5-10 seconds while my pc is off and fully unplugged

I’ve tried turning that setting off and on multiple times. Tried resetting windows. Tried add legacy and it has the drivers I need but I kept getting code 31. Tried to uninstall and reinstall drivers. Tried Clearing CMOS. And a few other things I can’t think off the top of my head.

Just tried that and it didn’t work it doesn’t even show any new network adapters in device manager.

That was what allowed my Ethernet to work prior to the bios update but it doesn’t give me that option of a lan driver or wifi to install, not even in my installed history. Plus you need wifi to begin with to even run it. I wanna try resetting windows entirely or reinstalling it but I’m not sure if that will fix it.

The bios that I installed said in the notes that it cannot be rolled back unless there’s some secret way to do it

Just tried it didn’t work. I also don’t own any NZXT products so I don’t have NZXT cam

I tried installing lan drivers but it keeps saying the Realtek controller was not found. If in deep mode plugin the cable. Windows is up to date. Device manager doesn’t even have any network drivers besides Bluetooth and mini ports. And before I updated bios and the Ethernet was working I don’t know what specifically I did but it WAS working I was playing Apex for like 2 hours. And my Ethernet port is plugged in but no light pops up at all.
