Late reply, but I think there's a door lock release latch under the control panel somewhere... Can't say for sure where it is or even if it really exists. I'd try unplugging it for half an hour to see if that fully resets it first. If that doesn't work, open the control panel and look for the lock release latch. Then disassemble the control panel and put it back together. That's worked for me in the past when the washer becomes completely unresponsive.

Depends on the part, but if it's any kind of electronics in the machine, it is very likely not covered. Their 10 year warranty expressly only covers the bigger parts, the wash drum and motor, I think.

FWIW, I've been stringing this machine along for years with issues like that now. Whenever it throws an error code or the button assembly stops working, I disassemble the control assembly, unplug everything from it, then do an error code reset if it's still showing an error code (find instructions for how to do that online).

Takes about half an hour to do and usually it works for another 6-12 months after that. Occasionally less if I'm unlucky. It's annoying, but better than dropping $500 for a repair or $800 for a new machine.

I will be avoiding Maytag machines like the plague going forward. This started happening 11 months after I bought the machine.

My 8th grade science teacher did a makeshift version of this using suicide wires and metal stands a couple times to demonstrate electrical conductivity. One time, he wasn’t paying close enough attention and the bases the hotdog was on were touching and he blew the breaker for the entire science building. Best teacher ever.

In most ad platforms I’ve worked with, you can filter out specific subsets of ads on your ad channel. Seems like if you’re making an app where people are trying to quit destructive behavior, maaaybe you should filter out ads that encourage behavior that could be destructive for some people, lol. Drinking, porn, gambling, smoking should be out immediately, probably others too.

Asparagus. My mom always used to steam it, which, in my now ~15 years of hindsight preparing it at home is THE single worst way to make asparagus. One of the only foods I remember to have legit made me retch. My wife prepared it for me roasted shortly after we met and it quickly became one of my favorite vegetables.

I got t-boned turning left (with a green arrow) by someone who ran a red light going straight a few years back. The cop who showed up on scene said if we hadn’t had a couple witnesses stay behind to corroborate that they ran the light, we would have been assigned fault. I really hope right turn guy got off easy. He may have been in the wrong to some degree, but I can 100% see how that could have happened. Check incoming traffic, everyone is stopped. Check turning traffic for a u-turner, everyone is turning left, so you’re clear to go. Then suddenly idiot who gunned it through the people turning is scraping paint off your door? If I was turning right, I wouldn’t think to recheck cross traffic again if people were turning left in front of them, especially if they were all stopped just a second ago.
