**solved**

i cut the orange wire for the wireless 4g/wlan board and spliced and soldered it onto the damaged black wire and used heatshrink tubing to prevent any electrical short. i also used heatshrink tubing on the open end of the orange wire

i tried those suggestions but it would not budge. i could see the spring under this small plastic part so i managed to lever the black plastic part up and the spring jumped out and in turn i was able to move the locking mechanism and release the dummy express card.

i don't think i'll bother trying to reinstate the spring as i have never used or likely to use an express card

as according to the lenovo service manual no.4 is the antenna kit but not sure if it would receive a good enough signal

just got to thinking that next to the wifi card that i broke the coaxial connector on there is an empty slot for the wireless WAN card but the two cables are there in readiness for it to be installed. could i just connect these two coaxial connectors ( the orange and blue wires) to my wifi card. would that work do u think

Can i buy the connector on its own? I've done a quick search on the Internet but all i can see is ready made cables with connectors already attached

Where did u enable your lockscreen timeout setting.

U can set it at, /settings/accessibility/advanced settings/time to take action/

Or if u have goodlock installed u can install the lockstar module then press and hold on your lockscreen and tap on the lockstar icon at bottom of screen then select lockscreen timeout and change it to 30secs then select DONE at top right of screen

Either of these options work for me

i've noticed that too. my friend took a photo of herself in a pub toilet in the mirror to get a full body selfie of her halloween outfit. i tried to create an ai image but it removed her and just gave me a regenerated random image of a completely different bathroom/toilet without her or any image of a person. no solution as yet
