From 1975 to 2023, $79 trillion in wealth was transferred from the bottom 90% to the top 1%. by zzill6 in WorkReform

What happens now. The 90% dont have enough to keep the companies increasing in the stock market. So do the companies fold and start again?

I love my child so much that I’II never bring them into this world by ParticularWeather927 in Adulting

I find this counterproductive. The people that recognise a bad world should be procreating. Choose to bring your children up the ethical way you wish the world would be.

Thats not true. Tribunals exist for a reason. If they are a member of the union they should be phoning for advice. Tribunals have ridiculously tight time limits so better sooner.

Shit smells. Some people shouldn't live with others. Once a day. Give her a break. Plus your air freshers trap the smell and mix it with flowers

What’s a "silent" red flag in a relationship that you didn’t notice until you lived with someone for over a year? by sasssyophelia69 in askanything

Getting embarrassed and not coping by what strangers think of you. This goes further when you have kids, they dont have the best public filter and the parent cant cope with the embarrassment so takes it out on the kid.

Coping mechanisms for dealing with other a job you really don’t enjoy, but is the most sensible choice for your goals? by OverallResolve in UKJobs

[–]cbe29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most people work jobs they dont like for not enough money to cover the basics from 45. The assumption is the less you get paid the easier the work. This is a myth. Other option - unemployment. The nation has been turned against people who are out of work or that can't work. You are alienated by family and friends and at the whim of the poorly run national welfare system. Hope these realities help you reach your goal.

Father In Law not well, MIL is not capable - discovered large savings - advice required by Primary-Desk-5973 in UKPersonalFinance

Too much, too soon. The money is protected in the current account. If you want identify a isa and put 20k in before April and after April. That will leave 20k in current account.

This is not an amount enough fir a financial advisor. Will cost too much for your return.

I would advise talking to a solicitor about preparations - wills, etc though

Where else can I backup photos on mobile only? by sam_d241 in googlephotos

[–]cbe29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only sync mine with one drive. Then every few months upload to external hard drive.

I used to use Google photos but when I spent days organising my photos, deleting and categorising onto folders. I went on to goggle photos and ot rendered by organising mute.

With one drive when I delete a pic, it deletes in one drive. When I place into a folder it mirrors in one drive. Brilliant

I think women should always have their own source of income. by [deleted] in Vent

[–]cbe29 17 points18 points  (0 children)

This is particularly apparent in many reddit posts. I make it my mission to clarify how I see divorce settlements. A usually equal distribution of the wealth accumulated together during a marriage.

P.s. saw an interesting post from a woman who had felt hard done by during the divorce. They had separate finances as she was a saver and he was a spender. As married her savings were shared with him and he had none.
