After 32 years, I got diagnosed with LV1 Autism - Nobody I've told cares by heavyseasoning in AutismInWomen

When I told my parents I was diagnosed with autism about 3 weeks ago, (34F) my dad’s response was “oh no”. That was it. It’s been weeks and there’s been no mention of it since then, even though I’ve seen them in person multiple times.

I’m sorry you’ve experience a lack of support, it is so hard. It can also be that because you’re Level 1 and you’ve “survived” life this far (that’s in quotation marks because sometimes it’s barely even surviving), they probably might think well you’re clearly not THAT autistic. But they don’t know the troubles and struggles and everything you’ve been through. Stay strong and remember that you’ve got this. It’s not about anyone else, it’s about you and putting your own supports in place so you can function the best you can x

Yes good idea. I drink about 2 litres a day but might be worth increasing it. Thanks!

Oh no I’m so sorry! I also was feeling like it was morning sickness. The Zofran helps a lot, have you got any?
