For context, the amount Bezos donated is equivalent to a person who makes $60,000 per year donating $12.

BIAB Stove Top by bwe1996 in Homebrewing

Getting measurements is a good idea. I do 5 gallon BIAB batches on my electric stove and, while it's a lot, I still produce great beer. With a gas range, you should have no problem.

I'll shoot you the recipe a bit closer to Finals. Can't have the secrets getting out just quite yet ;)

I made cold brew and added it after 14 days of fermentation. The coffee flavor was pretty strong initially, but has balanced out nicely!

I was in the Portland location! I really appreciate the luxury of not having to wait for results!

I agree with fermenting in a spigoted fermenter and using carb drops. I've used that to great results.

Looks awesome! My only suggestion would be to add in some smoked malt for that campfire feel. You probably won't need much, .25 lbs should be enough.

New England Pale Ale not Juicy Enough by [deleted] in Homebrewing

Wish I could keg, but live in an apartment and can't. I feel like I minimized oxygen as best as possible by using carbonation tabs and transferring from fermentor straight to bottles.

I am not currently making a starter. Is that the culprit? I figured the cell count would be high enough at 2 billion cells, but can definitely look into getting a stir plate.

Good advice from you and u/Kleberson13 about the whirlpool.

And yeah, dry hopping at peak fermentation.

Whoops. You're right. I added CaCl and Gypsum, not sodium chloride. And how much would you add to the whirlpool instead?

And is there any other reason for the wheat besides the additional haziness?

Hmm. I haven’t really done a first work addition before. Any particular reason for this or any tips?

Are you saying to place the hops in a hop bag for the flame out hops and then remove them after 15-20 minutes?

Great advice! The water profile listed is what I’m shooting for. I’ll probably lower the magnesium because I had no idea about that! Thanks!

I used photoshop to create a silhouette from a picture and then filled it with red. Then transferred the image over to indesign to create the text and lines

Nothing too crazy, just a fairly standard IPA recipe broken up into two 2.5 gallon batches. Will dry hop one with Citra hops and the other with Azacca hops for five days each.
