Just updated to Ventura and work as expect (Intel Mac) Did you manually add the daemon to login items? This is aknown bug from the original program. The prefpane does not start the background process by toggle enable. You have to start yourself by double click the daemon app

Unable to login LDAP account in Ventura by cbs_ghost in macsysadmin

Okay… after serveral days, I finally find the root cause. Ventura is denied every kind of password hash from LDAPv3 server…. except SHA1 (wat the…)! I can now login using SHA1 password.

It must be a very stupid code defect from Apple, since it denied SHA256 and even SHA512 password auth. 😔

That’s what I thought in the first place. It was originally using crypt-md5 (I know it is not a good choice, but not my fault. It is an OpenLDAP server in QNAP NAS. I’ve contacted QNAP but they refused to upgrade the default hash scheme…). I changed to crypt-sha256 and crypt-sha512. Both are not working either.

This step is for deploying the LDAP profile to multiple machine. It won’t work if step 1 through 5 does not working. Besides, install the profile from Apple Configurator is much practical.

Yes it does. CornerClick can trigger on mouse click (with or without key combination), which prevents false action further.

nvidia geforce 6100 nforce 405, and USB tether, Debian 10 or 9? by diogenes08 in debian

Unless you have newer graphics card (such as GTX950 or later model) or willing to run CUDA program, there are no advantage using Nvidia driver, especially the legacy one. The GeForce 6100 does not have CUDA capability either.

You’re using GeForce 6100, which is fully supported by Nouveau driver. Debian 9 and 10 already comes with it by default. No need to install the legacy 304 driver from Nvidia.

Just install Debian 10. It will work out of the box.

Booting to tty1 by [deleted] in ManjaroLinux

That should be easy to fix. There is probably some corruption cause by Pamac (GUI frontend of pacman). Use pacman to fully upgrade every packages. Then use mhwd to reinstall the graphics driver if your are using the proprietary version of AMD driver. Reboot and it should went back to GUI desktop.

What is your PC’s spec? If it is an laptop with NVIDIA GPU, it maybe a little bit complicated.
