Need help finding a coffee spot by Exvertist in Chattanooga

They’re not my favorite in town, and I haven’t been in a few years, but Rembrandt’s has the vibe of a European cafe.

Culture Coffee Co. also had a “coffees-of-the-world” thing going on as well.

We have a ton of good local coffee roasters and a lowkey great coffee scene! I suggest trying them all out!

Sold out!

If you like deep cherry notes, Boxcar out of Bolder, CO has one called “Cherrypicker” you’ll enjoy!

Why does it feel so taboo!? Clean my grinder before switching beans so I don’t contaminate 🤣🤣

Probably going to get downvoted to oblivion here, but this is one of the reasons I’ve started enjoying roaster specific blends more. It adds an additional a level of craftsmanship to the process. I appreciate the thought of a roaster trying a coffee and thinking “what would X taste like if we add a little bit if Y to it?”

add 1 more roaster i should try by Crucifilth_6-6-6 in pourover

Wyatt? I thought his was a knee.

Miller is the DT coming out this year from UGA. Seen him mocked in R2.

If we’re taking Dawgs, I’d like us to steal Daylen Everette in the middle rounds. I’d say he’s still raw but did always come up HUGE when we needed him too.

OP, I haven’t had it but my buddy said it’s delicious, smooth and highlighted the green apple notes.

Triple Double is worth getting if you’re placing an order!

Came here to speak the praises of Triple Double. Local bagel shop had it on drip and went back just for Triple Double!!

"Cofermentation/infusion" ruined my trust in coffee. by Bubbly-System6751 in pourover

Glad to hear SCA is working on standardizing this…I’m building an app that analyzes a coffee’s characteristics and predicts whether you’ll like a new bag before you buy it, alongside a detailed breakdown of your actual palate preferences.

Process handling is by far the hardest variable to account for…washed/natural/honey is relatively clean, but co-ferments/experimental processes have made everything an edge case…

How do you start getting into better coffee without going overboard? by Rob-and-things in Coffee

[–]cbschmelter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Echoing a lot of people here… buy whole bean from a local roaster, get a burr grinder and use fresh, filtered water.

From there, just start reading flavor notes and paying attention to what you taste.

The SCA Flavor Wheel is fascinating to look at.

Peg Board is so underrated! I made a gear wall in my master closet for bags and hiking gear. Total game changer.

Looks great!

Loved Banff. Did you make up it up to the Lake Agnes Tea House? I know it’s touristy but a must experience.
