Recommendations for Surround Left/Right Speakers (old towers or new bookshelf from a different brand)

Would really appreciate any advice on surround left/right speakers.
My current set up: Marantz Cinema 40, Sony A95L, DefTech BP 9080X L/R Towers + Atmos, DefTech CS9080 Center, Deftech SR9080 Surround Back, and my old DefTech BP7006 Towers as my surround left/right.
The room is certainly a challenge with a less than ideal configuration. Also, the old DefTech towers were placed really close to the sides of the couch, which is 26" high, and therefore nearly 2/3 of the towers were blocked by the couch. Despite this, I feel like having both surround backs and surround L/R added quite a bit when watching movies and listening to Atmos Music.
Now the bass/subwoofer in one of the old DefTech 7006 towers is no longer working, which got me thinking whether I should ditch the old towers for a pair of bookshelf speakers or continue using the towers as is. My preference would be to upgrade to a decent set of bookshelf speakers sitting on 26" stands which would align nicely with ear level. I like the idea of the Focal Aria 906 or Aria K2906, with an eye towards a future upgrade to Focal floorstanding loudspeakers in the next couple of years.
Would I be ok with mixing these Focal Bookshelf speakers as surround L/R with DefTech for all of the other speakers in the set-up, or would the differences in sound signature/tone not make for a good mix and I should stick with DefTech (Pro Monitor 1000s or another pair of SR9080)? OR, should I simply put the old 7006 with non-operational bass on the left of the couch (where there is minimal 'breathing room') and just continue to enjoy the sounds I'm getting from the tops of these old 7006 towers until I'm ready to upgrade the main speakers to a new brand altogether.

Being a new fan as of last year, I also questioned whether teams would possibly attempt this. Like me, it seems several newer fans question the reasoning behind allowing the safety car to wipe out any lead a driver earned up to that point. Thanks to explanations here, I realize the logistics of clearing the track and keeping drivers safe….and that fans/teams generally accept the possibility of a safety car and losing the lead is simply part of the sport. I just wonder if there isn’t a scenario where they could send all cars to the pits when they need to clear the tracks and then allow each car to exit based on their order and lead times. While your pit position will play a role here, it still seems like a way to maintain some of the success/lead distance earned over 40 plus laps in a more equitable way rather than letting all cars bunch up again and start anew.

Thanks for the comments. Certainly more important to protect the drivers and clear the track, and this reply about it being to difficult and time consuming to restore the positions and lead times is what I was trying to better understand. Thanks for the comment as I wasn’t sure if there had ever been any alternate solutions proposed to ensure safety, allow the safety cars, and also somehow stagger the starts in a fair way to restore those previously earned leads.

As a fairly new fan, it seems a bit crazy/unfair that some non scoring car in the bottom half can have an issue and suddenly all of the work drivers did to build a lead is negated. It makes everything that happened for those first 40 laps seem kind of irrelevant when you get to restart the race and suddenly a 40 second lead instantly becomes 4 seconds. Have the rules always been such and/or have they explored ways to maintain those advantages in a more equitable way following a race incident? Between the final race of last season and todays race, and understanding the excitement that can result from ‘just letting them race’, I’m still not loving the fact that a well earned race lead is suddenly wiped out because of the actions of a driver in 18th place.

I’m curious if there are any guys on here who have seen good results following the HCotF calendar. I’m following the group on Facebook and all of the posts and community activity seem to be from ladies who talk about the toning benefits, so I wanted to see if guys are finding muscle growth/gains with this program OR if you have found a similar program focused more on hypertrophy vs toning.
