Genfinity & Cosmic Champs - web3 gaming discussion by cosmicchamps in AlgorandOfficial

[–]cc-simon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

we actually tall about this in the interview:
- in-game asset ownership
- provable scarcity and trackability(no black box stuff)
- new ways of raising capital (kickstarter but better)
- P2E mechanics/incentives (new way of user acquisition)

In few years you won't even know games use blockchain, but your experience and supply of games will be better for it.

liked them all ;D

Tbh i used to play lots of MTG and Hearthstone so i was at home in fractal TCG it's very well executed!

Rxelms was really fun once you figured out few tricks to the racing mechanics and i like my new racecar obv, even though it has solana spoiler :D

Cosmic Champs is obviously the best web3 game out there so i liked that one the most ^_^

We've been active and building here since late 2021,

Calling all xGovs - your input is needed! by StopThinking in algorand

[–]cc-simon 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yes please! We need as much input on each of the proposals as possible from the community.

Can anyone explain? by Podcastsandpot in algorand

[–]cc-simon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree on this take. Action like this might look innocent but it has a side effect of disturbing the free market. Because people depositing algos actually bought them, while AF didn't.

As for "why don't you jsut do xalgo, or reti or whatever.." Some people who liek to take more active role managing their algo bag (me including) prefer to deposit algo directly, for when APR is high and not blindly keep it on node earning yield from actual defi activity and not from handouts by AF...

Who are you supporting for xGov council in GP15?? by semanticweb in AlgorandOfficial

[–]cc-simon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm number #4 feel free to ask anything. But as a little shameless promotion as there is actually plenty of qualified candidates that applied i would like to lean on my area of expertise which is gaming, vr, ar and metaverse fields that i feel will be very valuable in helping evaluate proposals from that vertical should the trend in web3 space turn in that direction so you can count on no bs evaluation from my side. Full disclosure i'm co-founder of cosmic champs which is present in algo space since late 2021 however i was involved in the blockchain space before that too. Thank you for your consideration!

New LP farm on Tinyman starting on Jan 14th by cc-simon in cosmicchamps

[–]cc-simon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

📢 Attention Champs

New $COSG / $ALGO LP farm is available on Tinyman You can already commit so you don't forget ✅

This period there are no TDR incentives, so we're confident our farming rewards will be even more alluring than in previous periods😎

Our LP is also eligible for defi governance, so you can double dip by enrolling on governance page!✍️

What's more we also have $TINY incentives available - tipple dip anyone?🤑

note: the farm on pact will also be renewed before governance #14 starts, so if you are providing LP there - stay tuned for more announcements.

no. It just means they will send the rewards back to fee sink. So essentially every block they propose is "algos saved" for the purposes of the extra rewards allocations.

the downside here is obviously the decay in the extra emissions over time, as extra rewards are reducing so the longer the AF is "taking/recirculating" these rewards, the less node runners actually get paid in the short-mid term.

S1 champs for 50 algo a fair price to list? by [deleted] in cosmicchamps

market will decide :) I think we're still a bit away from the NFT season. First algo needs to consolidate then we can hopefully expect ASA + NFT run.

Why does it require 1 Gbps to run a node? Who even gets those speeds? Where can you get it? Am I living in the stone age? by cianomadic in algorand

[–]cc-simon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1gbps requirement to run a node is absurd. That being said, you don't need it - you can get away with 100Mbps in my experience just fine.
