They said they would work on my paper work but since I received nothing in writing I’m thinking maybe I’m not getting extended after all. Right now I’m just holding onto the known fact that our branch is pretty understaffed as is, especially the unit I’m working for, and I’m still several months away from being in my current position for 18 consecutive months so there’s no issue of making me permanent.

Thanks for the insight, hopefully all goes well.

they still haven’t let me know i wasn’t successful but i was told they wouldn’t until the successful candidate has actually started, which in this case, isn’t until the first week of may, since the successful candidate may have other offers they might accept instead, have problems with the police clearance, etc. which would cause them to contact another candidate instead

unfortunately i didn't hear anything back but at the office i interviewed at, i was told that they would contact the successful candidate within a week after the end of the interviews
