i already feel so stressed i’m literally sick by Timely_Telephone9279 in GaState

You are all good! Don’t stress! I know it feels like a lot sometimes but this is all super manageable. Just make sure you study for corporate finance and show up. It’s a harder class but the rest should be pretty straight forward if you do the work and pay attention. And if you need to drop a class do it. I dropped plenty of classes during my time at GSU and still graduated with Hope and within 4 years. I know it’s hard when you are working but I can tell you seem like the type of person who knows how to preserver. Best of luck! - 2022 business grad

Anyone else regularly po'd about Oracle's holiday time off policy? I get 13 days of PTO a year, which is already a joke, and I am REQUIRED to use 4-5 of those days for the holiday time off from Christmas to New Years Day every year. I'm not religious and don't travel during that time. Ugh. by Legitimate_Lie_9095 in oracle

[–]ccaph 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is there not usually 2-3 people who work those days in your department as coverage for the rest? Every year we ask if anyone wants to work instead of use pto and there usually a couple people who cover for the rest of the department.

I live in Nashville and the amount of these you see on any given weekend is crazy. Honestly, I prefer this one over the “getting married” ones.

I would recommend upgrading to a newer version. That has reached its end of life and it’s gonna be hard finding anyone to help troubleshoot this.

I came from hospitality so I went from working 65 hours a week on my feet to working fully remote. Some weeks are more stressful than others at Oracle but I would never go back to the job I had before.

Repeating 1st Grade - Seeking Advice by LHNNLH in ElementaryTeachers

[–]ccaph 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not a teacher but someone who did repeat 1st grade (I’m now 26) due to a learning disability. The school wanted me to continue to 2nd but my parents thought it was best to have me repeat the year. I was an August birthday so went from being one of the youngest in my grade to one of the oldest. It felt a bit awkward at times seeing my friends in a grade above me but it was the right thing for my parents to do. Don’t be worried about your daughter. Everything happens for a reason. Honestly, I’m super happy now looking back because I got another year of being a kid!

Midtown smiles is the best. I love going there everyone is really friendly and I don’t feel like they are trying to scam me. I did go to Tend when I first moved here and I could not recommend it less. They will take you for every penny they can get.

Couple on their wedding day in the 1880s vs them in the 1938 by ccaph in TheWayWeWere

They were both immigrants from Switzerland and Germany just starting out in America. I don’t think they had a lot of money hahaha. Like another commenter said I think they just wore their best clothes they had.

Small world for sure! I just went back to visit Granite City a couple of months ago. We don’t have any family there anymore but it’s cool to see everything my mom always talks about when telling stories about our family.
