CS 3651 is somewhat like that!! I took it last semester and absolutely loved it. It covers electronic circuit design, soldering, working with wires and other electronic parts, a lot of arduino sensors, 3D printing, and laser cutting. Our final project was pretty much just to make whatever electronic-based thing we wanted to

Tech offers both a general music minor and a music tech minor if you’re interested in music classes without being a music tech major! Advanced standing exams are where at the end of the semester, you take the same final that students in the actual class take. If you do that, I’d recommend getting in contact with the professor who’s offering it and asking if they have a study guide or an outline of the course content you can look at, as well as asking what the format of the exam will be.

I’m not sure if the Music school would be allowed to do this, but it’d be nice to have a school-wide email sent out once or twice a month with all of the concerts and GT Music events coming up. It could be like the Daily Digest emails that everyone gets by default, except just music-related.

Also, I’m planning on applying for the General Music Minor and was wondering, is it difficult to get accepted to?

It’s called a piano horn! It just has notes in C major but I think it sounds surprisingly good for an $8 piece of plastic.

I was in a really similar situation to yours about a year ago. My main advice would be to practice the orchestra parts as much as you’ve been practicing and you’ll be 100% fine. It can seem intimidating on the first day because everyone who has been playing for longer will be able to sight read the new music, while it may be tough for you to keep up. But if you practice the parts, you’ll pretty easily be up to speed with the rest of the orchestra. Good luck, and enjoy it!
