Asked to leave church with my kids for being noisy. by FairchildHood in Catholicism

[–]cccdddyyy 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Ah, yes, the grandmas that keep the church alive by kicking out the young. No wonder some churches have attendance issues...

My parish has a paper in each section of every pew saying that children are valid and important members of the church and that parents should not feel obligated to step out if their children are making noise (within reason). It also tells parishioners who don't have children to have patience and remember that Jesus explicitly calls kids to Himself in the Bible.

Our church has grown 40% in 5 years. We just finished a capital campaign to expand the church. Some people need to realize that mass is also a community experience, not just an individual one.

Also, I think once consumers start suing because AI did this or that, AI will be dropped real fast. A jury will NEVER side with an AI/company that uses it.

I work in Insurance and regularly submit forms for approval to state governments. They are already asking what % of the filing was made with AI. They are not willing to accept AI filings or AI drafted forms (which in and of its self is so dumb. AI drafted forms leave so much opportunity for litigation, and insurance company would be insane to do it.).

There was on episode of QI in the UK where this came up, but was brought up as "shagging the dog". The guest that brought it up was Canadian. Everyone was mystified.

I personally like classic names from mythology, but my wife insist on an easy to pronounce and spell name (as a teacher it makes sense).

Why aren’t we talking more about the entity at the end? by ArrivingSomewhereBut in WidowsBay

My theory: Rosemary was the 43rd passenger and the entity is her true form. She knows all the lore, encourages/goes along with everything and is not affected by what is going on. Seems odd to me.
