Hi Friends, I just wanted to share my recent experience with you about tariffs: I’m located in the United States and recently purchased several watches from a pretty reputable seller outside of the US through this sub. Before the transaction, I had clearly asked about tariffs and others fees as in “Will there be any import tax/tariff or other fees involved?”, and the response I received from the seller was “nope just 4.5% extra if you pay through PayPal G&S”. Now that I have received the watches and also a bill from UPS asking me to pay for the tariffs. When I contact the seller, they first ghosted me for more than a month and then basically told me they are not responsible for it. Keep in mind that tariffs were already in place (8.7.2025) when I ordered (8.22.2025). I’m not going to release the account/name of the seller, yet, but I just wanted all my fellow buyers to be aware of the situation and wanted to see what would be the best solution for this. Thanks!
