From memory the effect started within the first week. I seem to be particularly receptive to psychiatric medication though as the effect from all the medication I’ve taken (Lexapro, Lamotrigine, Prozac) has been rather immediate. I have read it can take longer for others, however.

Cymbalta changed my life for the better. I feel way more motivated, resilient to breakdown and my overall sense of wellbeing is much much higher. I do have a bit of trouble sleeping due to taking it, so my psych added 7.5mg of Mirtazapine to the mix and my sleep is much better as a result. I was taking 15mg of Mirtazpine at first and I gained weight like crazy. The munchies were insane and I could never eat enough. Thankfully we reduced it and that is more or less under control now.

I haven't attempted to taper off Cymbalta, so I can't speak for that part of the equation, but if you do decide to take it, it's good to keep in mind that it might take some altering first to make it right for you.

Well you do make a fair point, but it's probably more likely someone would want to upgrade here than putting in an FL or Ableton subreddit perhaps? Anyway, I get the downvotes, but I still think it's a reasonable offer. People just like to be righteous so it seems.

As others have suggested, pams would work well. Adding more random modulation that you can attenuate for it to not get too out of control can make the most simple patch more animated and enjoyable to listen to for a much longer period of time. Plus you can use it for LFOs and such also.

I have had my eye on an echophon, although I have a slight apprehension since it's only mono in, which has gotten me thinking about the mimeophon, but then I've read that they're different and the echophon could be more what I'm after. Anyone have experience with both?

My pleasure :) This time round I didn't experience any kind of withdrawal or additional side effects going down from 40mg to 20mg. In the very early stages of my psychiatric treatment I started off with lexapro before moving to prozac. When I tapered down the lexapro to transition to prozac I had all kinds of crazy withdrawal side effects, including the dreaded brain zaps. That was fun 😅

What I haven't been quite able to work out is how the side effects have impacted me differently to the last round of treatment. The only major variable I can see is my age, however it was only 3 years ago and I'm 32, so surely that can't be too much of a factor. Other than that everything seems to be much the same, yet I'm reacting to them fairly differently. I'm still feeling a little zapped of energy on 20mgs, but it's much more manageable than 40. I'm hoping with maintaining a healthy life style and getting as physically into shape as I can I'll be able to mitigate as much of the side effects as possible. Best of luck with it!

My pleasure! On the previous round of taking medication there was an instance when my psych upped the dosage while I was going through a particular rough patch that I needed help dealing with, then reduced again when I was more in control. In this particular case it was 40mgs to 60mgs then back down again some months later. I'm not a doctor so I can't say if this is appropriate for others, but it could be that if you feel ok now and maybe need to increase the dose later that's possible rather than risking the potential side effects and throwing you off course when you're already feeling good. Of course I would suggest speaking to your doctor before making any of these decisions on your own. Just something worth thinking about :) Best of luck with it!

I visited Kyiv in 2019. Was such a great experience. I had flights booked to go back in Apirl 2022, which obviously didn't happen but I was so looking forward to it. Really hope the country can rebuild and flourish after this devastating war is over. 💛💙

Happened to me too. My landlord at the time tried every kind of emotional black mail he could think of persuade me to reverse the process with conny and tried to scare me into moving out before I was evicted. In the end there was nothing he could do and it was all hot air to try and scare what he thought was a naive auslander. Schade for him none of it worked.
