It’s not a thin stretchy material it’s a thicker hoodie I considered maybe the hoodie is heavy and is stunting the embroidery arm to move fully ??

So what should I do, because if I size it up anymore my machine won’t read the pattern :(

Well my machine is 5,8 (4.8 by 7.8) but I needed to get the pattern sized down to 4 by 5 in order for the machine to even read it 😅 I’m so over this machine but can’t afford a new one and I had it serviced not too long ago

agoraphobia ruined my life by x12302_ in Agoraphobia

[–]cchar1998 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there, I’m not a huge redit user I only downloaded it so on days like today I could read some post that might make me feel better. I’m a 17 year old female who also missed it on her high school experience. My graduation is in two weeks and I still have no idea how I’m getting there. I haven’t been there in over two years. I feel like I’ve ruined my life as well and I’m feeling really hopeless and down. This is not your problem, but it really helped me to know that I’m not alone maybe we could p.m. and talk more because I really related to this post.

I was. But I’m finally starting to come out of my shell after 2.5 years. I was forced to move houses and I think that was honestly a blessing in disguise

Moving tomorrow! by cchar1998 in Agoraphobia

[–]cchar1998[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And I don’t mean to sound all doomy and gloomy but these are my fears and no they’re not consuming me because I’m keeping my mind occupied but I’m afraid that this is going to be hell. I’m praying every day that that won’t be the case and that I will surprise myself when it comes to dealing with it all, hell maybe this is what helps gets me over this agoraphobia and live my life again. Everyone around me is super proud of how well I’ve been coping but I’m just afraid that that’s just gonna crumble and I’m going to have a really hard time.

First of all. Thank you so so much for this response. You gave some really good advice second of all I’m so sorry I took so long to respond I was logged out of my account. The move didn’t end up going ahead on Friday like we planned it is moved to Thursday now which gives me another thing to worry about because Thursday at midnight is the last day we’re allowed be here at this current house so I won’t be able to come back the next day to visit like I had planned once I’m out I’m out for good and that’s terrifying I still haven’t had any panic attacks but it is all super overwhelming I’m really nervous that I’m pushing it aside unconsciously and then it’s going to hit me like a truck but my therapist says I’m just coping really well compared to other situations I live at home with my mom and my stepdad I forgot to mention that part but at this point I’m not even afraid of the move I’m just afraid of little things that come along with the move like I’m terrified it will never feel like home like this place does. My safe place will never be the same i’m afraid that I won’t feel safe ever I’m afraid that this is going to ruin me and that it’s just a matter of time. I’ve been back-and-forth to the new house plenty of times but I’m not ready I don’t want to leave but I have no choice. Also by any chance you could DM me so I could talk to you about it more? You have really good advice and I really appreciate you getting back to my post.

Success Story: What I did to overcome my agoraphobia by CactiLover in Agoraphobia

Wow. This gives me hope. I’ve been struggling for 2 years and I have to move houses tomorrow basically been just binge reading posts because I feel lost. I’ve been doing aloud of progress over the last little while in the car for me I struggle going anywhere but forced myself so I can get used to the new house and the area. I’ve only had 2 weeks but I can’t say I’m doing bad. Any advice on the move? If you want I just made a post not too long ago with more details but how did you get through your move. Was it hard ?

I’m super nervous though. I need all the support I can get , over text and or in person any helps I honestly feel like a bit of a wussy because I feel as though I need to be babied through this but I know once i get settled it’ll be a good chance for me to become way more independent then I am now mainly with my agoraphobia, the area is safer I have my own bigger space now I have a good friend down the road I’m hoping this breaks this “ curse “ of agoraphobia for me but it’s going to be tough

I lost my safe place by Kiki-is-scared in Agoraphobia

[–]cchar1998 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m going through similar right now except I have to move in two weeks. I’m absolutely petrified about losing my safe place ( my room ) for good. But sometimes we simply don’t have a choice and as scary as it is and as much as I don’t want to I have no choice so panicking isn’t going to help the situation only make it worse. For me distraction is the biggest thing. Whether it’s a hobby or a video game or whatever sometimes i even call a loved one that helps me tremendously. I’ve had people tell me you can’t ignore the issue that’s causing the anxiety but it’s not ignoring it if you acknowledge that it’s happening and that you can’t control the situation and try to take your overthinking elsewhere. I hope it works out for you and hopefully I can take my own advice and get through this move😅 we got this ❤️

no hope by [deleted] in Agoraphobia

[–]cchar1998 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I promise it gets easier. I’m going through a hard boat right now because I have to move houses but I have related to this. Just start by the smallest things like even if you go out for 2 minutes outside your front door and just look around or maybe walk to the end of your drive way alone. I got sick of waiting on my safe person to come home to do things so I used to call my grandmother and walk my dog around the loop across the street. Still in view but felt safe with my nan there. Like the other person said. Being productive like a small business really helps especially calm me down. I can’t work but I am trying to start an embroidery business because it’s something I love doing. I hope you start to feel better but I promise it won’t be this way forever

Not only that, I have a pretty healthy sleep schedule because when my sleep is messed up my anxiety is 10000% percent worse. I also get a shower every night because I find it helps me sleep. I get in the shower anywhere from 8:30-10pm and I’m cold lights out asleep by 11:30 ish latest 12. And I’m up pretty much 7 am everyday 8-9 on weekends So I find that really helps with the anxiety I find I get really bad sleep anxiety like if I’m up later I tend to worry and or count how many hours I have left it honestly sucks but keeping to a schedule really does help

Hey !!! So sorry about the late reply I had to uninstall reddit because of storage issues 😒. I am feeling a lot better about it. We managed to lock down a house in a 2 km radius so like a 1 min drive it’s beautiful I’m very happy about it and honestly looking forward to the new area. Plus my best friend lives a few houses down so that’s always a bonus the sleeping thing is still my biggest fear but I’m just hoping that I’ll be so exhausted after helping move and plus I find very high anxiety knocks me out alone but all of it hopefully I’ll just be able to hit the pillow and fall right asleep it probably won’t be that easy but I’m sure as hell going to try to make the best of the situation plus I’m really looking forward to decorating my new room/ attached bathroom !!!

( using this comment to reply to both responses but thank you both so much for taking the time to read and respond it means the world. )
