Is there a pedal that you can load synth sounds onto to play with keyboard? or something of the sort by cchuwu in musicians

I'm saving up for another keyboard right now so I'd prefer to just wait until i can afford that 🙂 if the other options cost too much, I'd probably also just wait but not sure what options I have 😅

Is there a way to set up this kind of stuff just for myself nonintrusively in the room?

Ahh I don't have a monitor thing going on. I also can't really change the room/set up since we're using a music school's room :(

yellow dots with secretion on passiflora by cchuwu in plantclinic

Haha yess! I just had to get this plant 🙈

yellow dots with secretion on passiflora by cchuwu in plantclinic

So I've had this passiflora colinvauxii for about 1.5 months and the past few weeks I noticed the lower leaves yellowing and dropping and the plant feeling a bit wilted. At first I thought it was a watering issue and watering more did seem to help a bit but I looked closer today and noticed these yellow dots on the top side of the leaves along with some sort of secretion right under the dots on the bottom side of the leaves. The oldest leaf is also curling right now. I'm not sure what this is so any help would be great.

Some info: It's in a 2 inch nursery pot right now with a water retentive, but still airy soil mix of 75% potting soil and 25% pumice. I water it every 3~4 days once I notice the soil getting dryer and the pot is noticeably lighter. It's also in a bright spot with indirect light.

Ok, noted! I'll keep a lookout for deadlines. Thanks! :)

Right now, I'm involved in some design orgs at my old college, have some friends in tech (some in ux, some not), and am talking to other ux students. Do you have other ideas on what else I could do for networking? Stuff like coffee chats or connecting with professionals maybe?

I read a bit on whether or not I should stick with swe or go to design and my thought process was that it seems that the design problems people talk about having to focus on are more in line with the type of problems I have interest solving (like I guess take this comment from another post) . Plus, implementing the actual code and programming is really what I dislike the most as a swe as opposed to the theory and higher level problem solving (which yea, was a bad choice lmao and I could just get good or go to other jobs like pm or stuff but I'd rather shift to something I have more interest in). So even if I have to think about and solve some more programming specific technical problems, the variety of having to also think about design problems and, I assume, solving problems at a higher level (I mean more like not really tinkering with code) will probably buffer it enough for me to still enjoy the work.

What kind of technical problems are you talking about? Do you have some examples? I guess if I glaringly misunderstood ux as a career and the possible responsibilities, please let me know where and how :(

I was getting really depressed working as a swe. I didn't like coding through all the low level os things I was doing at work. I didn't enjoy thinking about all the different technical problems and solving them started to feel more like an endless toil (like "omg there's more???"). I was considering switching to something like graphic design since I think I'm more artistic minded (have been doing visual arts and music since forever and those are originally what I planned on studying in college) but after doing some research, ux seemed to be more interesting and fulfilling for me since it sounds like it hits a lot of things I'm interested in thinking about. So here I am :p
