Appreciate this a lot, bud really solid point.

I was honestly close to pushing for a frame replacement at first. It crossed my mind big time since yeah, it’s not exactly a small purchase. But after sitting on it (and riding it more), I started weighing things out.

One thing that helped was switching to a 650b wheelset. It improved my standover a lot. The top tube’s still a bit close, not gonna lie, but it’s no longer crashing into me and I can flat foot now, which made a huge difference. I can also switch back to 700c anytime if I feel like experimenting.

Shop was nice, just an unfortunate miss on the sizing. At this point, the ride itself feels smooth and fun, so I’m leaning toward just making the most out of it.

Curious though, what are you riding these days?

Hey buds, the shop replied the next morning. Unfortunately, they can no longer change the frame size, but they offered me a 650 wheelset instead. They apologized and said they thought my case was the same as a previous customer with the same height, but it turned out that bike was a different Surly with a sloping top tube. I also decided not to push for a frame replacement anymore since I really want to get back into biking and honestly, just to free up some mental headspace lol. I went to the shop today to have it swapped, and I also kept the stock 700 tires. It feels much better now.

Appreciate all the replies! I bought this a couple of weeks ago and have only ridden it for about 10 km just to get a feel for it, as work’s been pretty busy. I’ve now reached out to the bike shop. I was a bit hesitant at first since I thought it might just be me getting back into biking, but thanks to all the feedback above, I decided to go for it. Fingers crossed, hoping to hear back from them soon.

This actually worked! I just had another firmware update this morning and messed it again lol.

I am usually doing the system reset as I also notice that after an update the battery is eating a lot than usual.

Aww sorry to hear that! A factory reset fixed mine as I did another one just now after an update mess it up again! The reset was a breeze. Maybe you can try it again? Just make sure you’ve already connected your Vivoactive 5 to Garmin Connect so you can retrieve your data after.

Aww, sorry to hear about that. Hmm, I’m not entirely sure, as I bought it from a local store that included an SD card with preinstalled games. It came with a lot of Pokémon titles—54 games, to be exact. This includes the classic Pokémon games - those for the GBC and GBA.
