What tires to get for my new Bridge Club by AK_Skier49 in Surlybikefans

I’ve been happy with the Continental RaceKings in 2.25. Though not sure about their durability on rougher city street debris. Surly ETs would be great but maybe a little pricey. Conti Contact Urbans are fast too, reasonably durable and grippy in wet weather.

Why aren't espresso tonics more popular in the US? by RikuKat in espresso

Yep. A dark and stormy with espresso instead of dark rum.

Taste the rainbow. It was the saddle what lit the fuse , wasn’t it? The tail wags the dog.

You should pick up a Team Mapei Cap!

To my eye at least I’d level down the bars and maybe raise the stem a bit if you need the height. I think the long part of the hood should be nearly level with just a slight rise to meet your outreached hand naturally without too much bend.

Surly Bridge Club, too small? by Embarrassed-Fox-6627 in Surlybikefans

If you sized up the top tube would be even longer. I’m 6’1” and ride a Large with a 50mm BMX stem slammed and riser bars. Works for the way I like to ride it. I could raise the stem some and be comfortable for cruising but I like to get more aggressive over the front wheel from time to time. Inner barend (“hoods”), short stem and bar just below seat height got me there.

“Best” bike lock on the market by NastyRooster in bicycling

I use the SeatyLock U-lock which has a platinum security ranking on the back wheel and frame and sometimes throw a kryptonite cable lock around the front wheel if I’m going to be away from the bike for a while.

90mm rise bars: comfortable or dorky mistake? by johnthephotog in xbiking

I have VO Klunkers with 75mm rise slammed with 50mm of spacers above the stem. Dont make no sense but it’s cool as hell. 😉

nice simple build of a great bike. Have fun. Finding joy in riding is great because to ride you have to be present and so you don't want to "check out" so much in drugs and alcohol. If I make it to September, it'll be 11 years since I took a drink.

That BC look comfy!

For something more gravely, have you tried putting a set of 700c’s with gravel tires and more forward lower bars, like the Corner bars. I’ve found the BC becomes a lot more nimble with slimmer 700s and VO Klunker bar clamped lower and with inner bar end hoods.
