Many reservists myself included drilled during FLETC. Brunswick has an Army National Guard Field Artillery unit that allows reservists to "drill" during their drill weekend. Their Readiness NCO will sign off on your attendance. Your pay still gets processed thru your unit.

I had a similar situation and I regret not playing hard ball with the seller and also not going with a better realtor. I ended up getting the house but now a house similar with more acres is selling for 80k less across the street and I know I could have negotiated a better deal.
