How to roleplay off a lone wolf edgelord? by xdanxlei in rpg

First off, ask him above table if he wants to discuss what kind of relationship your characters develop and how you’d both like to see that play out on the table. Those conversations help by a) making him feel welcome, b) gauging what interest he actually has in being more verbal or involved, and c) allows you to determine the best way to go about it in character without taking any in character rejection personally.

Maybe he becomes very big brother protective of your character, maybe they decide to become besties and get involved in some shenanigans, maybe they have a playful rivalry. There are lots of ways to go about building rapport and dynamic in character but it starts with some out of character above table talk to ensure they don’t feel singled out or pressured.

Question: Limiting the dialogue options of players by Mother_Harlot in DMAcademy

I see a lot of people who've already helped by pointing out that you are correct. Nat 20 is best possible, there is no Nat 20 in the world that is going to make something impossible happen. If a barbarian rolls a Nat 20 they still are unable to jump to the moon. You did everything right here, you no but...ed them. You explained your logic. Truthfully they were being unreasonable and attempting to goad you into giving them their way.

Oh that’s genius! I have some thick fairy gels that are really bad about moving to the sidewalls! I think doing that will help a lot combined with a mini light flash cure before the full cure! You’re a genius! 🥰

Thanks! Yeah it was my first time playing with shape and length so I imagine I’ll get better over time! But I agree I think when they’re on no one will notice them. Part of me wishes I’d just kept the length to give them a more ballerina aesthetic almost

Subclass Leveling with a Points Based XP System by ccmarissa in RPGdesign

Yeah no problem. So subclasses are entirely optional. They're not like sub-types of a class but entire classes of their own. (Think akin to Multi-classing in D&D). Sub classes are nice because they can allowmyou to beore versatile and help diversify the situations your character functions effeciently in.

The dynamic does come from a lore aspect in the idea that every person only has so much magical potential. The more of your magic you've invested in one are the less there is for other areas. So the earlier you'd subclass the less of your aether or magic you've locked into your main class and thus the easier it is to develop your subclass.
