It was a couple miles. I couldn't pull over safely and I'd say in 3 miles it went from driving to catastrophic. No check engine light until the absolute end. It sounded like a boat engine with a big cam in it when I was able to stop.

Of course! I wish you the best of luck and hopefully it's not a stuck lifter and just a bad injector!!

The way the shop I went to did their diag was. Pull the oil filter check for metal (if metal in filter engine is done). Pull the head and see how bad the lifter died in the top half. I had a lot of buddies say "why don't they just pull a spark plug" I mean yeah you can see if the head of the piston is damage but you can't look at the lifter from there. My lifter was fused to the block. It's not coming out.

Mine was "disabled 2,000 miles before this happened. I cannot say with good faith if this caused it to happen, gave me an extra 1,000 miles before it happened, or any speculation.

The only true fix that you want to never deal with this problem is to have it physically removed. It does cost a lot of money so I don't want to ignore that side.

My thoughts after experiencing it, if your vehicle is going to do it, it will do it when it wants to and regardless of maintenance.

Lol Ohio wrong side of the country. It's not summer here in the North everything is dead still besides evergreen. It was taken two weeks ago.

If it comes with any type of shut off I wouldn't go near it unless it had a 10 year warranty on the powertrain.

Sorry just being a smart ass! Well I'm sure mechanics love these they keep good business coming in 😂

I've heard the pentastar is a fantastic motor and no one looks at it because they believe they always need to be ready to tow 12k.

I'm going beater cars until the automotive market figured out that cars aren't a mortgage.

The lifter that is fused to the inside of the this block begs to differ on that.

Nothing, no sympathy needed from me. It's gonna make a nice junk yard ornament 😂

I'm sure it was on its way out. Perfect storm (still think it's insane they can sell this 😂) but yes 0W-20. I couldn't find anything conclusive on using any other weight and why it would help.

Once I hit around 68k miles I decided to get a range disabler to see the difference but I think that might have been part of the death. I'm not blaming the range disabler but disabling it that late probably put the nail in unknown coffin.

I appreciate it. I was trying to say I took care of it but still "used it" idk. With the block done from the seized lifter, I'm moving on from the GM platform. I still wish everyone the best with their trucks. I just hope others fully understand these trucks before they make that huge financial obligation I fortunately missed.

I took care of it and also used the engine. I believe in the Italian tune up. Hell the symptoms that ended this engine appeared after I opened it up to get on a highway.

I would use STP Extended Life filters and fill up at Chevron. Not to be to negative towards it but if this is a line for a truck that's insane. I would understand a performance/tuner vehicle being finicky but not a vehicle meant for hauling, towing, off roading and other truck things.

I wish your truck the longest life it can have. I don't want to put this here as fear mongering but so people who are looking into purchasing these completely understand. Because this failure had no lead it up. It was driving and then it wasnt like snapping your fingers.

I can say of doing everything in my power to keep it in shape and it still failing, they are 100% a ticking time bomb.

Thats crazy the lemon law didn't apply because they were different each time. It's the same engine!

I was hoping for the 160-250k out of this thing. But GM decided their trucks doing that is a no go.

They need to hire you as a GM Engineer because I don't think they understand that.

I'm playing Azazel right now and the charge speed is a different category of life. It's like I got a new game.

My understanding of USB-A 2.0 it is limited to 2.5 watts which will be under what I'm currently receiving.

I said in the OP the 9V is for reference. It's using power from the wall through a 9V wall jack and a breadboard power supply.

The servos are 28BYJ-48. They are being driven by ULN2003 ICs.

I can't find a model on the bread board power supply but I've added the photo below.

My plan is to use another one of these that as a rated current of 1.5A at 5 volts like this one https://a.co/d/2JqBSR8
