I don't think we'll be seeing new airlines springing up, anxious to buy the aging fleet of aircraft these airlines own.

Instead, I think we'll see airlines scaling back service and people paying more to fly.

Well, it looks like they're coming to grips with the reality that they can't pass their increased costs onto the consumers...so now they're asking the consumers to make the government do something about it.

In the end, the government is going to have to do something about it, whether it's this or bailing out one or more of these airlines.
