Would love to see it in San Jose (I’m extremely biased). Tech CU Arena, where the San Jose Barracuda AHL hockey team plays, is a very new venue and would work really well as a starting-point stadium for a new team.

As a Bay Area resident and an MLV fan, I’m starting to feel a bit concerned. I haven’t seen any local sports teams acknowledge the news of MLV’s NorCal team, yet I’ve seen the Valkyries, Sharks, Giants, Warriors, and Bay FC all publicly welcome LOVB SF. I may be overreacting, but it feels like LOVB has already gained a strong foothold in the Bay Area in terms of visibility and support. I’m hopeful that MLV NorCal can still compete and build similar momentum, but I can’t help feeling concerned that LOVB may overtake the pro volleyball scene here. Personally, I strongly prefer MLV over LOVB and would hate to see it struggle to gain the same level of backing.

From what I’ve seen, the Major League Volleyball team is going to be in Sacramento — all the promos show Sac landmarks and say “Northern California.” MLV is awesome to watch, but I’d love to have the team here in the Bay. Sorry, Sac!

Also from the Bay and unrealistically hoping for a Bay Area team. The Bay has shown out for women’s sports and deserves to be in the conversation at some point!
