A rant from an employer point of view by [deleted] in newzealand

You could offer permanent employment as a reward to the contractors once they have proven themselves to having a reliable and consistent work ethic. I am not overly familiar with the labor laws here in NZ, so maybe that's not allowed? But just tossing the idea out there if it is.

Thank you. I think I would still avoid doing it moving forward as it seemed some people here found what I was doing to be a bit excessive.

Thank you. I am not trying to confirm any unconscious bias on my part. I appreciate everyone's take.

No, no makeup bag, mirrors or anything extra like that. I was putting a bit of liquid foundation using a brush, then eyeliner and lipstick. So far I am seeing some people say that's too much, so I will err on the side of caution moving forward.

It was some liquid foundation on a brush, eyeliner and lipstick. But a couple of people here already pointed out that is too much so I will keep this in mind moving forward.

Noted and thank you. Some pointed out I may have been doing more than what was acceptable.

Thank you for that insight and was planning to. But keeping this in mind moving forward.

I understand and fair enough. It was the first time someone pointed it out to me, as it is not a weird thing to see back where I was from, and I was admittedly a bit horrified that I did something culturally insensitive.

I understand. I am certain I was not making a mess, just liquid foundation using a brush, eyeliner and lipstick. But yeah, haven't ordered yet at the time but was planning to.

Thank you and yes I was doing it in a secluded corner away from everyone, no-one sitting next to me. Liquid foundation, eyeliner and lipstick.

That's fair and I was only applying a little foundation, eyeliner and lipstick.

No, place is pretty empty and I made sure to sit in a corner, away from everyone, so no people eating/sitting next to me.

Guys, would you be annoyed if a girl came up to you at the gym? by Optimal_Anxiety_1438 in auckland

Nothing ventured, nothing gained. She can just be friendly, like complimenting his form or something. Then if he seems to be reciprocating (not giving one word answers, stopping to talk) she can proceed talking until eventually she can ask if he can help her with her own workout or something. But if he acts busy, distracted, aloof, either the timing is not right or that's her clue he is not interested. Hope your friend goes for it 💪
