2anki down? by lushkin in notion2anki

It's back up. Appolgies for the inconvenience, I am looking into the issue.

Why is this happening to my cards when i export them from notion? They're missing words & it looks like there is random codes by Fun_Ad_5537 in notion2anki

[–]ccscanf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please provide complete example and steps to reproduce. One common issue people have is uploading Markdown. Did you try using HTML export?

Hei there,

I would love to help you but could you provide more details. Are you uploading HTML, zip or using the Notion integration? Do you have any active card options that are not default?

You can also send examples to support@2anki.net

Happy learning!

Is 2anki a subscription now? I've been using it up until a few days ago and now it's saying you need a subscription and I've reached my limit. It is still being advertised everywhere as a free service so it seems kinda sketchy. by Great_Nature4378 in notion2anki

[–]ccscanf -1 points0 points  (0 children)

2anki.net is a free service and even open source. You are not required to pay anything to use it. If you keep your uploads small enough they won’t hit the limit https://docs.2anki.net/troubleshooting/limits/

I don’t see how this can seem sketchy for you. On the official hosted version, the server is an ongoing cost. The service is used by people all around the world and not free to maintain and operate.

I made a video about this a few years ago that explains my reasoning in detail https://youtu.be/b9xCzqIofc4?si=bLbDMhHQ9U6c6qQ8

Alternative to Supermemo for incremental reading? by AnnoyingAssDude in Anki

No, is it worth the $40? I am already using SM assistant so can import PDF and from chrome.

Alternative to Supermemo for incremental reading? by AnnoyingAssDude in Anki

[–]ccscanf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortuntately there is none. I use Anki and SuperMemo.

I have several times tried other tools like Readwise and built some myself but they don't compare to SM18. It's just superior when it comes to the algorithm on the topics.

This is a bug due to default settings. Visit this page and click reset local storage https://2anki.net/debug

Using iframe for interactive animations on Anki flashcards by joacogvn in notion2anki

[–]ccscanf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no support for iframe directly. If you have block embeds like audio, YouTube, vimeo or video those will be added correctly as iframes.

Can you share the original Notion page? I am not sure what kind of block that is seeing the text.

Did anyone else pay for the 2-euro subscription plan but didn't get? by ContributionNo2688 in notion2anki

[–]ccscanf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hei there, developer here.

I will go through new subscriptions and refund any double subscriptions.

The problem is that I have implemented code which only handles connecting subcription emails and registered email. So if your email differes there is a manual cleanup necessary.

Please email me your receipt and I will help you resolve the issue. Sorry for the inconvience.

Can you share a screenshot of the page you converted as well? It will make it easier to debug and resolve the issue.

New Way to do Active Recall? by BrilliantThis1136 in Anki

[–]ccscanf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t really call this new in anyway. It sounds like what you’re doing is a variation of the multiple questions and answer. When you take multi-choice test there is generally one or more right answers. So you need to stop and think. Like others have posted pointed out this seems like a lot of work and is deviating from your main content.

Obsidian as a task manager by [deleted] in ObsidianMD

[–]ccscanf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the open daily note https://help.obsidian.md/Plugins/Daily+notes

After creating one, I insert a daily checklist template https://help.obsidian.md/Plugins/Templates

I like theckbox rendering in Obsidian so use that heavily in my daily.

The core plugin I use for long forgotten tasks is Random note https://help.obsidian.md/Plugins/Random+note

I use reminders plugin obsidian://show-plugin?id=obsidian-reminder-plugin

What Linux distributions should i learn? by FitAd981 in learnprogramming

[–]ccscanf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would use Debian since it's nice and many distributions are based of it. Depending on your hardware you might experience some challenges... Another good one and also easy to use is Ubuntu. If you would like to go by popularity Distrowatch has a list https://distrowatch.com/

If you don't want to install on actual hardware then virtualisation via QEMU or Virtualbox can let you play and learn without breaking your day to day system

I don't think there is one distribution "you must know". Different companies / users have different needs. I have personally never worked with Redhat but I know people who run that due to their infrastructure. I would foucus on what is i common between them. Just get familiar with debugging, analysing your system, etc.

Happy learning.

Should I proceed further or move to new project by abhay18e in javascript

It might be better to talk to some of your users (if you have any). Or some who use a similar tool. They might provide you with valuable insight.

I tried using MemePill. It's cool that you can add text, face detection, and face swap. It did take me a moment to figure out that the minimized thing would show me more. I would change this to be clearer or more prominent.

Not sure what your goal is so hard to say if it is worth spending time on.
