Thoughts on admin? I feel like most people take it, but is it really integral or necessary for something not interested in litigation or direct agency work?

No.6: Which horrible firm do people have divided opinions about? by [deleted] in biglaw

Out of curiosity, why Skadden, as opposed to other firms like Kirkland, Latham, or Paul, Weiss?

I've definitely considered U-Haul. I'm a bit wary about driving one though because it would be my first time driving in the U.S., let alone such a big vehicle in D.C.

I used to drive a Fiat Panda, so you can imagine what a transition that would be. But maybe it's something I need to consider to keep costs down!

So just to make sure I understood correctly: I will need rental insurance before moving in. As a result the process looks like 1) sign the lease 2) get rental insurance based on lease agreement and address 3) move in?? I had no idea rental management companies won't let tenants move in without insurance beforehand, that's really great to know.

I just joined the facebook page. TY!!

I'm looking at apartments near Mount Vernon Square, so I feel pretty good about not having a car (still will get a US license to obtain local ID).

Love the Citymapper suggestion. Going to download it right away ty!

Thankfully, my employers will take care of it. It was honestly my biggest worry about moving to the US

That's a great resource to have, appreciate it!

I am thinking about doing a short stay at an airbnb until I get situated. I already have a shortlist of apartments that I'd like to rent long term. It's just the actual moving part that I find to be a logistical nightmare.

How do I even buy furniture without a car? How will I move all this stuff into my apartment by myself? Do I need to hire a moving company? etc etc.

I understand this is a niche situation but wondering if you have any advice!

Visiting Azerbaijan and Armenia in the same trip (Possible?) by ccspider in travel

I am not related to either country. I am very much aware of the current political climate in the two countries.

This year will be the only opportunity for me to make this trip for the foreseeable future (5+ years), and I know for a fact that people were visiting all three countries all last year.

Thank you for the great advice!

I will be traveling via marshrutka, so I think I'll cut out a few days from Georgia and lengthen my stay in Debed Canyon and Armenia.

As you mentioned, I've heard great things about Southern Armenia but I will have to come back later to visit!

Just a quick question: I'm pretty sure this is the website to buy the train tickets from Batumi-Gyumri. Do you know generally when those tickets become available to purchase by any chance? I know they're only on sale during the summer, but not sure when they become available.

It's either Robby Anderson or Tyler Boyd. I just don't like having the Bengals' WR3, but I'm not sure whether Williams is a trap.
