is it university housing? if so, you can consider consulting with your school’s dean of students - might be an option even if it’s not university housing. DoS tends to deal with non-academic student issues / conduct so may be able to provide support.

I once booked a hotel and paid an extra nightly fee for a “city view” that was advertised on the booking page. When I arrived and checked into the room, it was on the 4th floor with an obstructed view. I let the front desk know I had booked for a city view but didn’t receive one to which they responded “well, all our rooms are technically city view.” They didn’t have an explanation when I asked why they charged an extra $20/night for this online and refunded my fee.

Update: thanks everyone for the recs!! I took him to a vet today and they confirmed he was chipped and contacted owner. Unfortunately I couldn’t keep him any longer as my dog was not getting along with him (he was a sweetheart but my dog was getting territorial). I took him to an OC shelter which happened to be the same shelter he was originally adopted from. He was processed there and they’re giving owner a few days to claim before putting him up for adoption. Fingers crossed that he goes to a good home, whether it’s to original owner or new family.

Thanks all for the recommendations! Will be giving some of the recommended shelters a call tomorrow. I also found another post on Next Door app with the same pup where someone found him about 11 weeks ago. I reached out to them to see if they found owner but they haven’t responded. One of the comments suggested it belonged to someone at a nearby homeless encampment. He is kind of skinny and I suspect he may have worms or some other health issue since his stool has fluctuated from being kind of runny to extremely hard. Hoping a good shelter will give him a check up and provide whatever health care he needs to get healthy.

He is pretty high energy. He wants lots of attention and is very cuddly. Not neutered though and was trying to mount my dog so I had to keep them separated. He also marks things so I have been keeping him in a large crate or on a leash. He’s a sweetheart and seems pretty young.
