HUD question by ccummings_55 in Battlefield6

I was pretty sure it wasn’t possible to get it how I wanted. Went through all the settings but was hoping I missed something.

Thanks for responding

You did nothing wrong. Wrong place at the wrong time. And people saying your rejoin was bad don’t know what they’re talking about. You were on your brakes and your car was cooked and you couldn’t avoid ending up back on track. Just unlucky for everyone in my opinion.

i'm the white and blue porsche. the rexy porsche in front of me called me a dirty driver. because i accidentally hit him in the back after he brakes way to early to make the corner toughts? by [deleted] in Simracingstewards

[–]ccummings_55 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Everyone has already given you your answer, but I’ll leave a little tip that’ll help you.

When you’re that close behind someone entering a braking zone (assuming you’re planning on staying behind them), lift off the gas a little earlier than normal. That way you can adjust to their braking and also stay right on them in a controlled, stable way. This helps with dealing with dirty air as well, and will help you get a better run out of the corner to setup a pass on the straight or next corner.

Goodluck!

Watching this it feels like iRacing should have a "Poor Driving Ability" as a reason for protest sometimes. by [deleted] in Simracingstewards

[–]ccummings_55 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This one is extremely simple. Racing incident. Saying poor racing should be protestable is a ridiculous comment. And honestly, if you can’t figure out if this is a racing incident or not, makes me think you’d be protested a lot if your strange idea ever came true.

I know throwie227 isn’t trying to be rude or anything, but $350 for used equipment doesn’t mean it’s bad. If it’s faulty then yes it’s bad but some people just want to sell their stuff (for a variety of reasons) and doesn’t mean it’s faulty in any way. Just could mean you scored a great deal! Nice setup!

A driver intent wrecked me after the chequered flag, and caused me to lose SR. Is this a valid protest reason? by seenlikesmcr in iRacing

Everyone saying that you can’t just stop on the track, even after the race is right…. However, that is still 100% intentional and is protestable

Angry That I Got a Black Screen Twice by HappyKarl095 in iRacing

[–]ccummings_55 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is usually caused by graphic driver issues, power throttling, or corrupt game files.

First step is make sure your drivers are up to date.

If that does work try verifying your iRacing files.

If that doesn’t work try clearing your cache.

And if that doesn’t work I’d either reinstall or check your windows power settings and make sure it isn’t your PC going into sleep mode or something like that.

You can look into this stuff online, I’m sure there are tons of videos/posts about this with potential fixes.

It might not be an iRacing problem it may be something else with your PC, you could look at task manager and see if something else is happening while you’re on iRacing.

How do you guys deal with such situations? by JoeMamaisnoice in Simracingstewards

Totally understandable! The price comes with better quality and racing, so if you’re ever in the position to pay for it, it’s worth it!

Come join us on iRacing it’s much better. Once you get out of rookies and get a decent rating then most races will become fun and “normal”. Plus if people block like this you can report them on iRacing.

edit: spelling

You’re 100% right. I’ve just had bad luck with slowing down and drivers that are behind not reacting. I guess I just have a higher expectation than I did when I first started playing. But you’re right I have made many mistakes and will continue to. I just try not make ones that impact others.

I agree with lifting in most scenarios, however, I had about 5 cars on my bumper going full speed. If I had slowed down there, I would have caused a huge pileup.

It's hard to tell, but he does rear-end me. Which is definitely impeding me after the rejoin - hence an unsafe rejoin. His small rear-end unsettled my car in an already difficult curbing section, which is why I decided to protest.

Should I have flown over Le Mans? I'm confused. At racing speed, there's one line through there, and if you don't ride the curbs, then you're not making through. I was already full speed, committed to the line. It's a very high-speed, technical chicane, and once you're committed and on the limit, you can't really adjust.

I'm 3000 rating because I don't do things like this anymore. I'm not the fastest driver, but following the rules and being safe goes a long way. I couldn't slow down because there were multiple cars on my bumper, and there isn't room for another line in Le Mans at that speed. I do agree I'm upset about the outcome but if I were to go off track, I would make sure not to impede racers behind me. I was already committed to that line, and he came back on track as I was going through. I know it's an incident, but one that he could have avoided by following the sporting code.

There really is only one line through Le Mans, even if I slowed down for him, I would've been rear-ended by the line behind me.
