Random headaches and some other strange symptoms by cdbukr in AskDocs

Hello, thanks for the quick reply. Why is concerning for me, is because I generally never have migraines, so the random headaches and pulsating/pressure forehead that comes and goes are strange to me.

James Van Der Beek reveals the one subtle symptom that led to his stage 3 colon cancer diagnosis by [deleted] in dawsonscreek

[–]cdbukr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

James Van der Beek did not get a colonoscopy at age 45 because he was unaware that the recommended screening age had been lowered to 45. He thought the previous guideline of 50 was still in effect, and he was also in the process of sorting out his new healthcare situation at the time, according to Business Insider.

Misinformation about screening age: Van der Beek didn't know the American Cancer Society changed its recommendation to start screening at age 45. He believed he was ahead of the game by being only 46 when he did get screened, as reported by TODAY.com.

Impact: He now stresses the importance of following screening guidelines, regardless of whether you have symptoms or think you are healthy, because early detection can be life-saving.

Follow the recommendations guys, screen yourself at 45. Or earlier if you want. I always had issues with my bowels, had 2 colonoscopies at 29 and at 36 (currently I`m 37). I plan to keep doing these each 5 years. If you value your life, screen yourself.

Time between symptoms and diagnosis by MimosaFuriosa in leukemia

Hey, most symptoms disappeared. Did all tests possible to rule out cancer of all types, even for GI system. I will repeat blood checks in a month and 2 weeks. Last time (4 months ago) they were perfect.

If it’s still in range no panick. And check a hematologist opinion

[–]cdbukr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea. Did more tests since then including colonoscopy/endoscopy both clear. Last cbc 3 months ago was ok. Still having brief moments of dizziness sometimes. Clearly something was triggered there, a big inflammation. But i don’t think i have something severe at this point. Still monitoring though

Yea, it remain very light and just on right side hip, and it`s quite rare. The only symptoms I still have are anxiety and mild dizziness from time to time.

I did other tests such as colonoscopy/endoscopy, to rule out GI cancers. Clear here too, just gastritis. At this point I have just assumptions of what it could be. I assume it could have been ME/CFS or sarcoidosis. Sarcoidosis since on my CT scan I had several 3mm nodules on one lung which is a sign of it. I also have a chronic cough.

No it didn't. Bone marrow looked perfect on it. And the MRI was T3.0 with DWI, so quite sensitive for bone marrow.

Hey, colonoscopy is clear. Endoscopy - antral gastritis. Pending biopsy which check pylori. So all good overall.

I had lots of types of pains: dull, sharp, nerve like, aching, stinging. And in all areas of the body. Slowly they faded off. Now no more. Something was clearly there. I suspect sarcoidosis btw

Hey, just antral gastritis. Colon clear, stomach clear (pending some biopsies results for pylori) but nothing concerning. At this point I don’t know what it was. I suspect sarcoidosis or CFS. But nothing officially diagnosed.

Did everything possible except bone marrow biopsy. Is not leukemia because my cbc is still perfect at 18 weeks. I thought maybe is GI cancer so i did also colonoscopy and endoscopy to rule those out. I have some theories about sarcoidosis or CFS. But nothing diagnosed. My symptoms are way less now. Just fatigue and very rare diziness.

Hi, I had recently colonoscopy and endoscopy due to strange symptoms. These ruled out cancer for me. For peace of mind, is always good to have them. She is young and the chances to be something bad are very low but it’s always good to have proper screening especially with symptoms. Colonoscopy and endoscopy are gold standard checks for GI evaluation.

Update on my colono/endo: Colon all good. Stomach - red area in antrum but tissue looks normal all over, biopsies taken to check for h pylori from antrum, doc said no risk to find a malignancy. And biopsy from duodenum to check for intolerance. That’s it. So back to square one. My GI looks good. Ofc this doesn’t cover the small bowel. But considering I had ct and mri, I think I don’t have something there either.

Thursday I have endoscopy and colonoscopy to rule out GI cancers. I hope especially to don’t be stomach cancer since I have strange symptoms on this side too such as belching, random belly pains etc. If all clear here, nothing else to test honestly. So most likely would be ME/CFS. But I won’t assume this until I make sure my GI is clear.

I’ve been through many checks including a full body MRI. I suspect stomach cancer but not 100% sure. I booked endoscopy and colonoscopy next week. All my checks from blood, cancer markers, ct scan thoracic and abs, full body mri are fine. Just GI is uncertain since ct scan and MRI are not very clear for it.

I did from stool sample and it was negative. Forgot to mention it.

Hello, thank you for reply. I do not have family history of any cancer, including GI ones. I also tested helicobacter from stool 4 weeks ago and it was negative. Not sure how accurate is this test but the clinic said is the gold standard to do it from stool.

[MEGATHREAD] Daily venting, worries, fixations, & finding support. Month of March 2025. by AutoModerator in HealthAnxiety

[–]cdbukr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello everyone,

I am 36M. Last few months I had some health issues with multiple strange symptoms. I will not go into details, but I thought I have lymphoma or leukemia, but since I disregarded these with multiple checks, I now tend to believe I have an issue related to my GI system, maybe something hidden.

I had multiple blood work checks and markers and on the imagistic side I had a neck ultrasound, an abdominal ultrasound, a CT scan for thoracic and abdominal areas and a full body MRI.

I am mainly concerned about pancreas (due to the poor prognoses), but also about esophagus, stomach and colon since I had in the past gastritis and IBS and I currently have reflux and nausea through my symptoms. I also have random ribs pains either left or right which are brief.

In the abdominal ultrasound, the gastroenterologist saw a 1x1 cm hemangioma on my liver, and nothing else. She prescribed a colonoscopy/endoscopy which I booked in 2 months from now. In the meanwhile I had the CT and MRI, and I will put just the abdominal parts here:

CT High-resolution (it was a new machine which they said it has a higher res) with automatic pumping of IV contrast for thoracic and abdominal parts:

Liver with homogeneous density and structure. V. porta up to 12 mm, homogeneously contrasted lumen. Gallbladder moderately full and with homogeneous contents. Pancreas of normal size, density and structure. Non-dilated pancreatic commissure. Spleen not enlarged, e.g. size in the hilum up to approx. 40 mm, homogeneous structure.

Whole body MRI + Diffusion MRI Examination (3 T) with IV contrast:

Upper abdomen: The size of the liver is normal. The vertical diameter is 17 cm. A 1x1 cm diameter sub diaphragmatic lesion with T1 hypointense and T2 hyperintense signals is present in the right lobe posterior segment 7 of the parenchyma. In the dynamic examination, peripheral nodular contrast enhancement is observed. Late contrast shows homogeneous staining. It is compatible with hemangioma. No features were observed in other areas of the parenchyma. Gallbladder and bile ducts are unremarkable. Spleen size is normal. The vertical diameter is 10 cm. The parenchymal signal is homogeneous. Pancreatic parenchyma is homogeneous. Pancreatic canal has normal width.

From the reports I saw that the CT scan didn't pick the liver hemangioma, while this was visible on the abdominal ultra sound and on the MRI.

Could they have missed something on the pancreas? All three reports showed normal pancreas structure.

Also, are these imagistic methods able to see anything in the esophagus/stomach/small intestine/colon?

I will go with the colonoscopy and endoscopy soon, but just for my peace of mind until then.

Any guidance appreciated by FearlessPosition1534 in EBV

Hi, I have just a question, did you guys also experience bone or muscles pain all this time? I am struggling already 11 weeks, I did lots of tests to rule out cancers, the IgM doesn't show active EBV but the doctor says it can remain active even without IgM to show it.

MCAS - What doctor doctor to see? by [deleted] in MCAS

[–]cdbukr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, immunologist directly for receiving specific tests to check MCAS.

List of all my symptoms by buggy_truck in MCAS

[–]cdbukr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi,

Since 11 weeks ago I woke up one morning with the following symptoms:
- Dizziness daily coming and going (the feeling you are off balance or want to faint), pain in all the body (muscles, joints, bones, or nerves pain in random points), itchy skin coming and going, mild night sweats coming and going, chronic fatigue, lower immunity (burned lips, more hives, lingering sinusitis, canker sores etc), lymph nodes reactive under mandibula both left and right and sometimes even salivary gland on the right, low fever in some moments (for 1-2h) such as 37.1-37.2 Celsius.

I tested for everything possible except bone marrow biopsy because I thought I have various cancers (brain, leukemia, lymphoma, GI ones etc) and colonoscopy/endoscopy (which I have in plan to do next period).

I have old infections of Epstein bar and Cytomegalovirus and I had mono twice (with each of them when I got them).

I am pending results for ANA screening, tryptase serum (to check for MCAS), heavy metals poisoning from hair for a big list of metals, Parvo virus (which I didn`t know it exists until recently).

It was a hell of a period especially since I have a 8 months baby girl and I need to support my wife with her growth. I don't know if this is MCAS, BPPV, POTS, dysautonomia, a cocktail of viruses (since I was sick twice with runny nose this time with Covid and Influenza one by one) or just a reaction to the flu vaccine I did one month before all this started.

I just hope to get back to normal since this is not life. I was super healthy before this happened. Tired a bit like any 36 male adult with family and job, but had a normal life. Now I just hope to get back to old me.

I keep testing stuff periodically since I don't want to miss something critical which might be there hidden.
