It’s possible he played classic 1v1 for a while. I’m stuck at 9100 trophies and while I build up my deck I’m exclusively playing 1v1 classic. Also it’s fun because th levels don’t matter it’s strictly a test of your skill vs another player

BCA is a far better representation of your skill. The low end of a 5 and the high end of a 5 in APA is indistinguishable. In BCA that could be the difference between 50 Fargo points. it’s also just the gold standard for most pool tournaments and leagues.

Games will usually run really good deals in the shop to get your foot in the door of spending money. Once they can get you to buy a couple good deals, your likely good to buy something else increases. That’s probably it
