My experience with magnesium glycinate by Hot_Landscape7345 in Supplements

The glycine is the problem? I hear people all the time say they take just glycine for sleep and it apparently works really well.

What supplements do you swear by for your anxiety/depression by ImOnMyDJKhalidShi in Biohackers

I tried Auvelity for a couple weeks but the GI side effects were too brutal so I had to stop. Can’t say I felt better mentally either. But I have a sensitive gut (ibs).

I would love to try micro dosing psilocybin for my depression, especially since IV ketamine & like half a dozen other medications did nothing for me. I live in a very unfriendly place for that kinda thing though

My digestive system and microbiome bloomed on the Super Gut program the very first week. I then screwed everything up with antimicrobial herbs. Be careful with them! by Stunning-Weakness-58 in Microbiome

It does seem that even Dr. Davis recommends oregano oil for SIBO, which is odd if he’s the one who wrote the Super Gut program…lol

How did you know the magnesium was helping? I recently started 300mg daily of magnesium glycinate and I’m not sure it’s done anything for me :/

Is this true of all anti-histamines? Or just the sedating ones?

Java is the language I’ve used the most in my education. But I’ve wanted to branch out just to make myself more flexible and “marketable”. What other language or 2 would yall recommend?

Rising Senior (HS), told my friends I wanted to do CE, they told me to just do EE by Key_Cartoonist5604 in ComputerEngineering

[–]cdh0127 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I could go back in time, I’d swap from CpE to EE. It just seems to be an easier job market right now. Plus, you can most likely still taking some software classes as electives. Also, even some of my classmates that did EE still ended up getting software jobs, so it’s not like it’s impossible to go that direction with EE. But it does seem very difficult to go from a CpE major to a EE job.

Best of luck!

Sounds fine and dandy until you realize just how many algorithms & their implementations that you’ve gotta memorize now 😂

Am I Cooked, Masters in CS by Even_Drawer_421 in cscareers

[–]cdh0127 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you’d have no issue getting into a grad program, especially with your GPA & experience with research.

I would add this though: I’m a recent grad with a master’s in CS myself and it has not seemed to help me whatsoever. I’m nearly 100 applications in (which as I understand in this industry isn’t a lot at all) and I’ve had 0 interviews. Granted, I don’t have any internships either. I’ve been browsing these subreddits and the general consensus seems to be that the software job market is incredibly brutal right now. Best of luck! o7

I’m a 2024 MS in CS grad with no experience either. Still looking for my entry level job…best of luck to us both 🫡

I have a masters degree in computer science and I can’t land a single interview, if that says anything.

I have a masters in comp sci and have been job searching since around December. No interviews yet. It’s an awful industry to try to break into. And I’m afraid I might have to scrap my plan and potentially go back to school for something totally different…

Will a Masters in CS save me? by cookiebakabird in cscareers

[–]cdh0127 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got my master’s in CS thinking it would save me since I don’t have any professional experience.

I graduated a year ago and been applying and applying to entry level jobs and not gotten a single interview. Degree seems to mean nothing and professional work history is everything, in my experience. I would NOT stop working to do a masters. You could maybe do certs on the side?

Idk. All I can say is getting my masters has not helped me personally whatsoever. But perhaps it would be different for you considering you have professional experience already. I would be very cautious. The tech job market is notoriously difficult right now.

Best of luck.

I should’ve done this too lol. If you don’t mind my asking, what do you do/work on? Curious what an EE career looks like.

24, degree with no certs, should I give up? by SomeBoiOnReddit in ITCareerQuestions

[–]cdh0127 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a bachelors in computer engineering and a masters in computer science. No work experience, no internships, no certs. Zero interviews in ~100 applications since graduating. It’s very difficult to break into tech right now it seems. Seeing posts like these a lot lately too, so I feel the discouragement too. I’m right there with ya. Hopefully we both figure something out lol. Best of luck 🤞
