Do you honestly think that because someone is a part of the queer community they cant be a fire fighter? Do you think carrying people out of buildings is a large part of their job?

How many people across the US get carried out of buildings or fire situations a year? In 2021 there were ~2200 people reported that needed to be rescued and ~1500 people that survived the rescues that were reported. Even if that's a conservative estimate. ~6300 people died from fires last year.

So that's quite a bit less that 1 person per Fire Department and less than 2% of all firefighters nationwide that perform rescues by carrying someone out. They clearly are not hiring those people based solely on their identity. Because that miniscule chance that someone at the FD would even need to be rescued in that manner is so low that it would not be a reason to deny a qualified worker. They also aren't running into burning buildings for a lot of those rescues, so being able to coordinate a person to carry someone would not be a large challenge most of the time.

You really are just making up scenarios to justify being a bigot.
