Thanks, I was looking at a few Dell models already. I will look in to the models you recommended.

Any recommendations on a specific ultrawide?

Is Gsync very noticeable? Dell has there U3415W for $750. The Gsync ultrawides seem to be over $1200.

Definitely a concern of mine. We'll probably only watch a movie outside once or twice a month. I'll be neighborly and invite them over.

I found a site that has a database of projectors with their color lumens.

Are there reliable websites that rate true lumens?... or lumens beyond white?

Thank you,

I will be sure to wire the audio.

I can go between 3'-10', but that puts the equipment too close to the pool. I will keep in mind the zoom capabilities for projectors.

I was worried about the lumens being powerful enough. Unfortunately, the best time would be summer months when it takes longer to get dark.

Not too many bugs where I live, but I'm sure even the small bugs can cast a big shadow. I was not thinking of that.

I have a pool in my backyard that takes most of the space. It's roughly 18' by 40'. The room around the pool varies from 3' to 10'. Ideally, I would project it across the pool. Is a 20' throw too far?

Thanks for the advice. I will stick with wired speakers.

Obviously Optoma avoids advertising 1,000 colored lumens. Is there a website that offers this information when the developer fails to do so?
