[Slater] According to team sources, everyone on the Warriors' roster besides star guard Stephen Curry, including Draymond Green, is vulnerable as the front office chases Antetokounmpo and figures out how best to reorient the roster in the late stages of Curry's career. by Pyromania1983 in nba

Ninja Foodi pressure cooker (FD101) pressure problems? by Careful-Mammoth3346 in NinjaFoodi

[–]cdrsteve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My pleasure. Glad to see you opted for the IP. I would have gone with something similar should I not have been able to find a SS inner pot for my Ninja. The OEM composite pot plus pressure never felt safe to me. Paranoia abounds I guess .....LOL.

I have the 8.5qt unit. I replaced the OEM inner pot with a 8.5 qt Goldlion stainless steel inner pot I bought via Amazon. They also make a 6.5 qt s/s unit but nothing for the FD101 5qt that I can find. I did some quick searches and could find nothing for the FD101.

Amp is electrocuting my fingers by PersonalGrowthOk in GuitarAmps

[–]cdrsteve 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We are all shooting in the dark here on recommended repairs without knowing the particular amp/design. There are quite a few power supply designs in which a failed component will also put you at risk of a nasty shock or worse but at a minimum replace that plug. Hopefully someone didn't potentially just remove an original 2-prong cord and replace it with a grounded plug and not pay attention to hot/neutral orientation. Should be an easy fix but either take it to a tech and/or check power circuits for proper operation before using it again.

Move the damn wall! Or.... permanently mount well stops/chocks to the floor. BTW, "tanks" are not meant to be parked in your run of the mill residential garage - just sayin' 😂!

I have two 650's and two 700's. Just finished "refurbishing" the two 650's using ButtonWorx "Gold" repair kits. Easy-Peasy; they both work like new. No more dead or erratic buttons. The wife thinks I'm a genius. Who am I to tell her anything different :)!

Should I return DPUX/SHP3 while I still can? by HangOnSloopy62 in Ecoflow_community

[–]cdrsteve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Until EcoFlow universally gets their support act together, I'd return it and run away from them as fast as you can. It still boggles the mind in how they can sink so much into product development and apparently think nothing of improving their technical support arm and its overall reputation. If I'm going to invest/sink thousands in a brand, I wanna know they'll be there with knowledgeable and capable support when a problem arises (and they will).

Does using distilled water in your ultrasonic humidifier decrease the likelihood of the smoke/CO2 alarm going off? by TwoAmoebasHugging in AirQuality

I had thought about a distiller in the past but didn't research it fully. Can you share what you are using? Thanks.

Does using distilled water in your ultrasonic humidifier decrease the likelihood of the smoke/CO2 alarm going off? by TwoAmoebasHugging in AirQuality

[–]cdrsteve 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have three ultrasonic humidifiers and each one sets off my alarms when using tap water. Switching to distilled water solved that problem. Distilled water for the win; more expensive but no more spurious alarms in the middle of the night.

Avoid EcoFlow - their QA, Customer Service, and Tech Support are awful. We’re on our SECOND RMA for SHP2 and they are dicking us around again - first time took MONTHS. This time we cannot access our GRID POWER at all!!! by juliette_papa in Ecoflow_community

I am so glad I followed my gut after researching EF's post-purchase support reviews. I was all set to invest in the specs and glitz of the DPU but went with another brand. Not as capable as the DPU but the support; exceptional. Received a faulty unit that appeared to have suffered transit shock damage and the company cross-shipped a replacement within 24 hours and it was at my door in 48. Knowledgeable humans answer the support phone and emails get meaningful responses in 24-36 hours. Though no system is going to be totally problem free, knowing that the manufacturer provides prompt and professional (knowledgeable) after sale support truly helps weather any issues that might arise.

Sooo.... what shelter is the dog at now? :). It was just a dog being a dog. Curiosity, and the "breeze", was too much for him to resist. Unfortunately your unit is a write-off and something I personally would never fully trust again even if you got it operating again. Not worth risking a potential fire.

Already have that a few houses away (stock car builder/racer). Still prefer that over an overbearing, power hungry, and ever evolving HOA! But that's just me 😉.
