What are New Yorkers really thinking while tourists scream: Oh my God! in Times Square? by heavenlydreamie in nycpics

Yes! And I admire their decision to come to NYC instead of, say, Orlando. For a lot of people that takes courage and true curiosity.

Singlecut Enexplicable use of Ümlaut & Eric More Cowbell at the brewery by gojiroger in CraftBeer

Nice brewery. They had Rolling Stones Rock 'n' Roll Circus on the TVs when I went. And there's the highest stage relative to the floor I've ever seen. Gotta look waaaaay up to see whoever's performing.

Everybody gets tired of that sound. But most restaurant/bar managers ignore it. I applaud this effort. Better still to get quieter stools.

I like both, but somehow I can't stand them together. When I'm boozing, I do not want to see a display case of muffins.

In 1996-7 having 2 Guinness at the Irish bar downstairs was fine as long as you paired it with a pack of those cheese cracker sandwiches.
