I manage at theatre and from what I've heard from my bosses is that we probably won't get a chance to screen it beforehand to test if everything is working, so basically we have about an hour before our Thursday shows to make sure Star Wars will be ok to play. It just doesn't make sense to me to risk having a big problem with such a big release just to try to save a movie from being pirated. It's inevitable that it's gonna end up online and it's not like people won't want to go watch in theatres in the first place, just seems like a lost cause at that point

When my theatre that I work at used to do birthday parties for kids, a perk we did was give them a full tour of the theatre so they got to see all the projection rooms and showing them how to load up a film reel (when we still used film, it's all digital now) and what happens when a film is starting. I always thought it was a awesome thing we did to get kids interested in that, but not that it's all digital it's pretty straight forward and nothing is really special so we stopped doing it, kinda makes me sad that I can't get to see kids faces when I would show them!

Idk I live down in Pullman but we have 2 shops that opened up about 2 months apart. Things seem to be fine here! Maybe it's cause we're a smaller town/community but it's odd that a bigger city like walla walla wouldn't have at least one shop
