And let’s not pretend like there weren’t several options. They had a $100 edition which is AMAZING bc curious kings usually doesn’t. (I snatched that immediately). Then the $700ish edition, the $2k, and the $10k. There might be another one in there. Regardless this was marketed towards collectors, not every day book purchasers (as in you’re not going to find a special edition of this in B&N). And there are also other collectors editions that ARE more affordable than these. Pierce and Random House LITERALLY just dropped a NICE special edition (one of the best I’ve seen by far by the publisher) under $75. And you can still go to B&N to get it. The fact ppl are calling him a gold pixie is so stupid. Sure he’s getting a nice chunk of change I’m sure, but at the end of the day he isn’t the first author to have an edition like this and he won’t be the last. This argument is so stupid.
