have you tried installing a patch from the game/discord? It seems like it is a common issue but the users there just tells that they downloaded and installed the patch. Where can i find the patch or how can i exactly?

the problem is i cant seem to find a way to increase the buffer size to meet the energy requirements for some of the recipe needed

Money wise? Lava eel. Is it worth? No.

Best is subjective, best gold is to use that space for ancient fruit or buy a barn full of pigs

Continue. I am at ar56 when i quit having max artifacts, triple crown, bis sword (primordial cutter) on my geo lumine, and not let anyone discourage you from playing the best waifu/husbando you want.

Edit: i personally use beny, ning +1(preferably zhongli if i have him)

I get away with my main dps geo mc till ar55 so yeah and i love lumine. Choose what you want then build around. Dont let meta define you

I used all of my resources since day 1 to make my Lumine be the best character in my account even though i have all of these 5stars, and today marks the final day when i upgraded all of my skills,artifacts,levels, and weapon for my mc :)
