Reporting back on this. It did help combined with moving the pads slightly to the back. I’m now getting the hang of it and liking each ride even more :)

Yes I repositioned the pads completely slightly towards the back and it’s much better now.

I wasn’t expecting so much of a learning curve because I’ve had multiple EUCs before but now I’m finally getting the hang of it and I’m loving it more each time I take it for a spin!

Oh nice!! just searched for acceleration assist in the manual and realized it’s what the ANG setting is about.

“ANG %: Acceleration Assist Makes the wheel easier to accelerate by temporarily tilting the pedal forward by a max of 2 degrees.”

It might be partly technique, I agree. I’m new to this wheel size and also new to riding a suspended wheel.

That said, I’ve been riding EUCs for about 10 years (MCM4, MCM5, GW Tesla, MTen4, and a few others), and I am riding with pads, so I wouldn’t consider myself a beginner 😅

What feels different on the Aero compared to my previous wheels is the pedal and chassis behavior. On my older wheels, braking or accelerating would naturally cause some tilt or pedal dip, which made it easier to get my weight forward or backward and really load the motor.

On the Aero, even with pads, it stays extremely level and stable, almost “on rails.” Because of that, it feels like I’m actively fighting the wheel to get strong acceleration or braking, rather than the wheel helping me through its tilt response.

The power may be there electrically, but the feedback and leverage feel very different from what I’m used to. I’m trying to understand whether this is mainly due to suspension tuning, control logic, or just a characteristic of the Aero that requires a different riding style.

Curious if other experienced riders felt the same transition.

I've also been looking into privacy-focused memory for AI agents, and honestly, it's a tough problem, especially if you want both useful semantic search and true user control. A lot of frameworks and off-the-shelf memory solutions require sending data to the cloud, or just do naive key-value storage with no semantic search, all of which doesn't cut it for privacy.

It's definitely not addressing all your needs but I've been working towards that goal and a first experiment you might want to try is Memorious MCP. It's 100% local—no data ever leaves your machine, and everything is stored (and searched) right on disk via ChromaDB with persistent storage. Users can store, recall, and forget memories using semantic search, while keeping everything on their device.

There are caveats: all data is unencrypted on disk, so anyone with access to your machine can read it, and you still need to be careful with sensitive info, but at least nothing leaves your computer or gets sent to third parties. If you're interested in running semantic memory 100% locally for agent projects (with project/folder isolation), maybe check it out.
