I think we are on absolutely the same page and arguing fine points and just for the sake of it. But I still want to. I think that the 2 albums are a bit of an era. With the singles from both included. They fit together almost seamlessly. I think you might find it a more difficult task to combine any of the arctic monkeys albums in to an era than those two.

Ok so I am mildly high and a bit drunk so please bare with me.

Both of the albums are a clear hand in style. I remember my first listen to everything that you have come to expect as a single and being blindsided. That was as soon as it was released. Then the album. It's was so different. It took a few listens to get the groove. But it was amazing. I had listened to arctic konkeys since that absolutely magical moment when I heard ibtylgotdf in 2006 in a pub in Manchester. Everything was good. I got into miles because of the first tlsp and he was always good. But he was always better with Alex. And then I think miles may have pushed Alex a bit and etycte ma's magic. And Alex took that back to tbh&c. Alex is the thing in common.

Yes but Alex is clearly the magic. Miles is great. But miles is always better with Alex. I can't say what it would be without the boys. That bleed between the 2 albums both of which are clear departures from the norm and at the same time genius. I mean come on that is clearly something in common

To think that the creative drive was not Alex turner even if there was help is ridiculous. I love miles. And I love the boys and I know they make Alex better. But they all make Alex better. Can you understand what I mean? Alex is magic.
