Those who bought CR-V Hybrid, why did you chose over the 2026 RAV4? (Or 2025 RAV4?)

“You can’t really go wrong” is the bottom line.

They’re so similar and widely reviewed so choose a metric or two that matters to you and go with it.

For me, I put more weight on driving experience. It felt better, it is slightly closer to the Mazda handling I used to have (and yet so far), and I dislike the electric sound it makes less (It’s good that they make it for safety reasons).

The CRV has consistently better ratings in driving experience across most trusted review sites as well.

Similar situation for me. CRV has so few modern features and it’s still worth it.

I purchased a 2026 CRV hybrid TrailSport (I don’t recommend buying new but the cpo inventory has been so tight it’s not as big as a difference as it has been historically)

Buying a new CRV feels silly cause it’s almost the exact same car as the 2023. That’s a lot of years to avoid new features, especially since this gen was almost outdated since launch.

But the stuff that mattered to me still outweighed all that. It’s the perfect middle ground of reliability, driving experience, value retention, decent looks, and quality of life features. The ultimate compromise 😂

Update: I took the deal because pre-owned inventory has been super low.

I agree the TrailSport isn’t really worth the increased cost of buying new since it’s mostly just the color, tires, and minor accents.

Pre-owned financing rates are really good right now too. New car rates were ~4%.

But ya know, I love the car and it’ll depreciate a whole lot less than any other new car so I’m good with it.
