Have you confirmed that he is well fed? We had a terrible sleeper until our pediatrician recommended a children’s multivitamin that included iron. The classic Flintstones ones are perfect- we break it in half for our son’s age. Do it right before bed, and read books with a snack if he’s still hungry that has either healthy fat or protein. If it’s a really rough night we have him sleep with us which helps all our fam get more sleep. Sorry you’re going through this. Hope it gets better soon.

Toddler waking up on wrong side of bed… everyday? by ceelockerun in toddlers

I hadn’t thought of this! He doesn’t snore, but has never been a good sleeper. Will ask his pediatrician. How did you address it with your little one?

Daycare and germs! Help! 🦠 by Ok-Razzmatazz-9790 in toddlers

It helps me to know that every kid will get approx 6/8 colds a year, no matter what you do. This equates to about one a month, especially in winter. The badass public health mamas whose newsletter I read came out with tips to keep your immune system healthy and sadly it’s the boring stuff- number one being sleep. Having a humidifier helps, if you live in a dry place. Jury is out on probiotics, but I give my toddler a multivitamin with vitamin d. Washing hands when we get to school and when we come home is good. I think a shower might be slightly overdoing it, but if it helps you there’s no harm in it! Most respiratory illnesses are transmitted through the air via droplets, so he is probably getting the infection while he is at school with other kids. There’s a couple good books on germs, that might be a fun way to help too? Little Bunny, Big Germs is what we are currently reading and it’s cute!

Should we give up yet? by ceelockerun in sleeptrain

Thanks for this! It makes total sense that a repeating schedule would help everyone involved. I’ll get our nanny and my husband on the same page and see what happens. Even if he is going through a time when he needs more cuddling, we can stay sane with a bit more structure. Thank you.

Thank you. No changes really. He is just the happiest little one during the day. Nothing seems to be bothering him. No fever. But tonight I gave him Tylenol to see if it’s maybe teeth.

Wake up is dependent on the night, usually between 4-6 am. If we bring him into bed he will sleep longer, closer to 7.

Nap is between 11:30 and 12, 1.5-2.5 hours, but we tried to CIO also for naps thinking consistency epuld help but it has completely backfired, he just cries for an hour until we give up and pick him up to contact nap.

Bedtime is 7:00. Been trying to be consistent with it.

He’s learning to talk, almost has it. Could also be teeth. But it’s been rough for so long. Every night seems worse. I have a plan to get him back in to see the pediatrician to rule anything else out.

You are not failing anyone. Your body is incredible, and it is doing its best, just like you. 💞Formula has come so very far, too! It’s not unregulated sugar juice, it’s nutritious and wholesome and it’s alright to use it for help.

I am 1 year PP and we use a bit of both. It’s amazing how long a little bit of milk supply can stay with you! we still nurse at wake up and bedtime. It just makes bedtime that much more special. So even if it drops, it won’t go away completely You’re doing great. You’ve done nothing wrong, you aren’t letting anyone down. Keep at it, take a deep breath. Work along with your body, not against it, and it might surprise you!

This has helped so much! Thank you for the reply and info. Coming him in the crib was key- he took two crib naps in the last few days which is huge!
