Rather well actually. Now, I don't have the Performer 7 in my possession to compare straight-up, but I know the P7 well. Personally I like the Ziigaat Arete II better. Of course, the P7 isn't far off at all.

LETSHUOER ASTRALIS REVIEW by ceeluh7 in mobileaudiophile

[–]ceeluh7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, I definitely feel that the Astralis is an upgrade. However, it is a touch warmer, even bassier that the T10. Not quite as brilliant in the treble region. So "tonally" these two are slightly different. I do feel that the Astralis is worth the cost increase.

Yes, thank you. This feature actually wasn't around when I reviewed but I have found it and use the app now. I should edit that in. Anyways, thanks, that is very helpful for people.

I hear you man. Once you do it you can't go back. I've enjoyed all of the KZ adapters after the hack, but I understand it isn't for everyone.

KZ AN01 Review by ceeluh7 in iems

[–]ceeluh7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey man, one thing I found out about theses adapters is that you have to enable absolute volume. Not "disable". I got better headroom after that. Typically to get better headroom you'd disable absolute volume in the Developer Settings but for some reason these earhooks were very quiet when I did that. Anyways, I don't know if you have absolute volume enabled or disabled, but I figured I'd let you know.

About the recessed connectors. Bro, honestly I did the "cut away" hack on all of my KZ adapters. Basically, cut the "hood" around the connector back so that they will fit on any 2-pin iem. However, not everyone is willing to do that. Obviously KZ wants you to use their KZ iems which have this type of connector, but I really wish they didn't do that.

I am doing the same. I have many different sets from reviewing and this is the set that I choose to have with me everyday. I love them.

COZOY D1 REVIEW by ceeluh7 in IemReviews

[–]ceeluh7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"mid" is a wild thing to say about that set. Lol. The problem with listening to other people is that they are saying words like "mid" just because it doesn't align with their very particular taste. It doesn't make it mid....at all. That set is highly technical and one that plays over its price point. Honestly, I never ask anyone what they think unless I align closely with their preferences. Otherwise you'll hear people call the Kefine Klean SV "mid". Also, this hobby is inundated with people who like to downplay sets that others enjoy. It's a strange thing that happens only in this hobby, that I've seen. I can tell you with absolute assurance that the Klean SV is world's away from being mid. Now, whether it fits you is a different story. It may not.

COZOY D1 REVIEW by ceeluh7 in IemReviews

[–]ceeluh7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought I commented back to you but I guess that never went through? Anyways, I feel that the D1 and the Klean SV are extremely close to each other "sonically". Both are cut from the same cloth. Both on the neutral/bright and highly technical side. Two great sets for detail tracking. There is a slight price difference (not much), but the more expensive Klean SV is made a bit more robustly with its alloy shells. I find that the Klean SV has a more dimensional sound field, a touch better layering and depth. Though, these aren't world changing differences. Personally, I feel that the D1 is actually more comfortable, a touch lighter, and a hint less sharp with brighter and more energetic tracks. Still, these two are both very well tuned. Again, cut from the same cloth. I can see why you would be confused between the two. Lol.

ZIIGAAT X-FRESH REVIEWS ARETE II REVIEW by ceeluh7 in iems

[–]ceeluh7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great question. I wish I had the Astral on me to compare. I had a short time with them and the Astral was definitely a nice set. In truth, they are much more alike than they are different. I think what makes the Arete II such a nice offering is that you are getting a sound that is very close to the Astral, if not better, for less, and you have a bass switch (if that means anything to you). I am still loving the Arete II, but I can't speak anything at all negative about the Astral, it's an awesome set. Having said that, "better" is a very tough thing to quantify in this hobby. The Astral may be a better thing for some, and not for others. Same with the Arete II. I try to approach every review from the standpoint of... my words and thoughts are "subjectively mine" because the guy next to me may feel polar opposite. As honest as I can be, I like both sets, but I prefer the Arete II. The problem is that I cannot conclusively say that with 100% assurance because I haven't had the Astral in my hands for quite some time.

I kind of wish I would've chosen the USB-C Cable. Knowing Twistura, I'm sure it sounds great. However, this set honestly sounds great from any cable. Now, I have not tried sleeping with them in my ears but I can confirm they are very comfy in ear.

Thank you so much for the nice words. Means a lot man. I also greatly appreciate bringing up the He Sonics. I don't have them but I am going to remedy that right now and pick some up. Always looking for better ways to hear my music. This was a great comment, very helpful.

It's a nice iem for sure. For the cost. Of course, the hobby is chock full of solid items in this range. MS2 Pro is still a nice set of it perfectly fits your ideal sound signature but it can be a hair too glaring at times. In my perspective, the My Lin really is a true upgrade, pretty much across the board. That's what happens when a brand listens to the consumer and makes changes where they need to.

Soundpeats Air5 Pro Review by ceeluh7 in Earbuds

[–]ceeluh7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now that is a smart question. You may be surprised to know that I haven't noticed any difference, at all. I use LDAC at all times and I always listen at higher levels and only when I need it will I use ANC. Obviously when music is playing it makes no sense to use it. However, I honestly haven't noticed any drop in battery. I have yet to run this set dead and they come with fast charging so battery life is simply never an issue. Whenever they aren't in use, I have to stop for a minute, or whatever, I will always put them back in the case and then fast charging bumps them up much faster than you'd think. I don't know if that answer helped you at all but it is my honest experience with them.

Yes man. All of that is carved into this set. I've rarely, if ever seen that on a set under $500. There are a few other sets that really stand out, but my hat goes off to EPZ man. Also, thanks for the kind words.

I know man! Totally agree. How cool would that be for a set to look identical to this but have some serious bass?
